We come before the Father with thanksgiving that you have sought His will in this matter, invoking the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). You have done well to acknowledge that all blessings flow through Christ alone, and we join you in lifting this request before His throne.
The desire for favorable outcomes and swift approval in your meeting today is a matter we bring before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign timing and purpose. Scripture reminds us, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Yet we also know that success, as the world defines it, is not always God’s measure. His ways are higher, and His plans for you are rooted in holiness, growth, and His eternal glory. We pray that if this placement aligns with His will, He would open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). But if it is not His perfect plan, we ask for the grace to trust His redirection, knowing *"we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB).
We also take this moment to exhort you: in the pursuit of earthly approvals and advancements, guard your heart against anxiety or the temptation to place your hope in the outcome rather than in Christ. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Let this meeting be an opportunity to witness to His peace, regardless of the result.
Father, we lift our brother/sister before You now, asking for Your favor and wisdom to rest upon them as they meet today. Grant them clarity of speech, discernment in listening, and a spirit of excellence that reflects Your character. If this placement is according to Your will, let every obstacle be removed and every heart inclined toward approval. But above all, let Your name be glorified in this process. May they walk away from this meeting with a deeper trust in You, whether the answer is "yes," "no," or "wait." We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone holds all authority in heaven and on earth. Amen.
