We hear your heart’s cry for confidence, love, and fulfillment, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting these desires in prayer. First, we must gently but firmly address some areas where your request does not align with biblical truth, for the Word of God is our foundation and guide in all things.

You speak of manifesting positive energy and creating your reality through your words, but Scripture teaches us that our trust must be in the Lord, not in our own declarations or efforts. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is God who shapes our lives, not our own positive affirmations. We must surrender our plans to Him and seek His will above all else.

You also mention getting a nose piercing and making yourself attractive again to find a boyfriend. While taking care of your appearance is not sinful in itself, we must examine the motives of our hearts. Are we seeking validation from others or from the Lord? "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised" (Proverbs 31:30). True confidence comes from knowing we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14), not from outward adornment or the approval of others. If you are seeking a relationship, we encourage you to seek a godly spouse rather than a boyfriend, for marriage is the biblical design for romantic relationships. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh" (Proverbs 18:22).

You express a desire for a boyfriend who wants you to be yourself, but we must caution you against pursuing any relationship outside of God’s design. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any romantic relationship should be entered into with the intent of honoring God and pursuing marriage. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are seeking a spouse, we pray that God would bring a godly man into your life who loves the Lord above all else and will lead you both in His ways.

You also mention the "blood of Jesus" at the end of your request, and we must emphasize the power and necessity of His name. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can bring true peace, purpose, and fulfillment to your life.

Now, let us lift your heart’s desires to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will for our sister in Christ. Lord, we pray that You would fill her with the confidence that comes from knowing You. Help her to see herself as You see her, a beloved daughter, fearfully and wonderfully made. May she find her worth and identity in You alone, not in the opinions of others or the pursuit of outward beauty.

Father, we ask that You would guide her steps in all things. If it is Your will for her to marry, we pray that You would bring a godly man into her life who loves You above all else. Prepare her heart to be a godly wife, and prepare his heart to be a godly husband. May their relationship honor You and reflect Your love for the Church.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of self-reliance or pride that would cause her to trust in her own strength or declarations rather than in You. Help her to surrender her plans and desires to You, trusting that Your ways are higher than her ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). May she seek You first in all things, knowing that You will provide for her every need.

We also lift up her children to You, Lord. May they grow in the knowledge and love of You. Protect them, guide them, and draw them close to Your heart. May they see Your love reflected in their mother’s life and be inspired to follow You wholeheartedly.

Father, we thank You for the blood of Jesus, which covers our sins and gives us access to You. We pray that our sister would walk in the fullness of Your grace and truth, growing in her relationship with You each day. May she find her joy, peace, and purpose in You alone.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord daily through prayer and reading His Word. Spend time in worship and fellowship with other believers, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). If you are not already part of a local church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow in your faith and be surrounded by a community of believers who can support and encourage you.

Remember, God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. If you are feeling lonely or anxious, cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are never alone, for He is with you always.

We hear the deep longing beneath your words, to feel confident, to be seen and loved for who you are, to have life and love flowing not just for you but for your mom and your children too. It’s clear your heart is crying out for things to be different, and we’re glad you brought that cry here.

When we chase confidence through outward changes, a piercing, a new look, a “keeper” boyfriend, it can sometimes leave us running on empty, because those things can’t hold the weight of our worth. Real, steady confidence grows from knowing we’re already fully loved and fully seen by God, not because of how we look or who we’re with, but because we’re His. That truth doesn’t demand we generate “positive energy” by our own words; it invites us to rest in the One who spoke the universe into being and who calls us beloved.

So this week, maybe try something simple. Before you repeat the affirmations, just pause in the quiet for a few minutes and let yourself be loved. Ask Jesus to remind you who you truly are in Him. That can be a steadier anchor than any declaration, and from that place, your confidence and your choices can begin to shift in a different way, one that’s not just about attracting something, but about becoming whole.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear woman to You. You know her heart’s desire for love, for beauty, for her family to flourish. Quiet her striving, and let her feel Your deep delight in her. Shield her, her mom, and her three children with Your protection and provide for their needs. Give her wisdom about relationships, may she not settle for less than Your best. Help her to see herself through Your eyes, confident and cherished, not by her own strength but by Your Spirit. We ask all this in Your name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The tongue that boasts of creating its own positive energy knows little of the blessed poverty of spirit that cries, "I am not worth so much as two pence." That kind of speaking drove me almost to the loss of reason, for the more I scrubbed and cleansed, the blacker I became. All confidence that springs from self is a painted bubble. But when we sink into our utter nothingness, then the covenant promise washes us clean, "He His own Self bore our sins in His own body on the tree." That is the ground of all true boldness, not what we speak into the air, but what Christ has spoken from the tree and from the throne.

You ask for confidence, but I would have you test its source. That heroic confidence which can endure trouble and obey in costly ways comes only from a deep fear of God. If you would stand firm when the storm bursts, you must have a reverence that makes you plead, "Lord, let me know the very worst of my case." A godly despair of self drives the saint to pray; a worldly despair drives the soul to rave or to frantic manufacture of cheer. Mark that difference well. The Lord fills His own that they may overflow with blessing, but He begins by emptying them. His first covenant word is, "I will bless you," and His work in you precedes any work through you. The double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, no spiritual blessing comes to any by chance or by mere chanting of words.

You speak of making yourself attractive and gaining a keeper. Let me lift your eyes higher. There is a Bridegroom whose love had no mixture of self-interest, for He had nothing to gain by loving His Church. His love made Him give Himself for her, that He might cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word. Oh, that you would know what manner of love that is! If you seek first to be made beautiful in His sight, adorned with the new heart and the right spirit He alone can give, then every earthly care will find its proper place. The stony heart, self-ruled and self-seeking, must be taken away. Only God's power can do this. The thing cannot be done by nature's efforts or by piercing the flesh. True attractiveness before God is a broken and contrite heart, not a decorated face.

For your mother and your offspring, I do rejoice that you long for love and success to come to them. This is a right and godly instinct. Be a blessing in your own household. Let the sweet perfume of a sincere walk with God blow out at the doors and windows. You cannot expect the blessing of Christ to abide with you if there is hypocrisy or self-deception within. But if the fear of God makes you a place of refuge for your children, if they see in you not a demanding spirit but a soul satisfied with Christ, then you may hope to see a night of rejoicing come to your house, such as the jailor knew when he believed in God with all his household.

Yet I am truly sorry if these desires for a companion are but a restless craving that has not yet been laid at the Saviour's feet. A Christian's joy and sorrow both test where the heart's true treasure lies. If in your desolation you only redouble your prayers and cling closer to Christ, then the trial is doing its healthful work. But if His love is not your chief delight, no earthly keeper can satisfy the immortal spirit that was made for God. Let the great blessing of full confidence in Christ be yours. When that is settled, you will no longer view Him with suspicion and dread, but with joy. Then, whatever else is added or withheld, you will possess the unshakeable Blessing who can never be taken away. What you need tonight is not positive energy, but a new spirit, freely given by that majestic voice which spoke the world into being and now speaks the new world of grace into being within the soul.

Your cry is filled with desire for beauty that fades, a companion of this world, and success for your family, and you have sealed it with the precious blood of Jesus. Yet consider: the cross is our glory, the sum of all our blessings, our confidence, our crown. Through it the world is crucified to us. When you ask for a piercing, for attractiveness, for a boyfriend to keep, you seek what is seen, not what is unseen. Hope that is seen is not hope at all; we wait with patience for what we do not see. If you demand everything in this life, what room is left for hope?

The Canaanite woman had confidence and strength not because she listed her desires but because she cast herself upon the Lord’s mercy for her daughter. She would not be turned away. But you approach with a different spirit, summoning positive energy as if by your own words you create your future. Do not be deceived. It is unworthy to approach your Lord for such transitory things while you neglect the unspeakable blessings to come. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added, but do not make them your pursuit. The blood of Jesus was poured out to cleanse souls from sin, to make you a house of God, if you hold fast your confidence and rejoicing in the hope firm to the end. It was not shed to secure a nose ornament or a worldly romance.

Now, concerning a boyfriend: marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, a holy estate. Living together and sexual union belong within that covenant. If your longing is for a husband who helps you live in godliness, that is no light matter, but you must not seek it as a means to feel confident or attractive. Rather, be the dispenser of your own gifts: benevolence, the fear of God, which sanctifies the hands and pulls down pride. Let your confidence be in the Judge who stands at the door, before whom you must give account. There is no time for self-indulgence. The Lord is at hand. Therefore, turn from this outpouring of earthly desires. Pray for your mother and your three children not for worldly success but for salvation, that they may cling to Christ alone. Then you will have true confidence, and your house will be built upon the rock.
