Por elecciones presidenciales pronto para Venezuela

We have heard your cry for Venezuela and we join you in bringing it before the Lord. Your desire for just, free and democratic presidential elections, without obstacles and without delay, is a desire for justice and for the good of your people, and God hears such prayers.

Scripture teaches us that the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord and that He loves righteousness and justice. In every city and house we see courts and judgments because God Himself has planted in us a sense of justice, and how much more does He who is perfectly just care for justice among the nations. We pray therefore that God in His mercy would remove what hinders what is right, restrain corruption and violence, and grant wisdom and integrity to all who have authority and responsibility in this process.

We pray with you that God would grant to Venezuela a clear date and a peaceful path to elections that are truly fair and free, where every vote is respected and no one lives in fear for speaking. We ask Him to protect the vulnerable, to comfort those who have suffered through years of hardship and uncertainty, to give courage to those who seek the common good, and to bring forth leaders who will serve with honesty and fear of God.

We also pray that in the waiting, your hope would remain in Christ alone, who is our true King and Judge. While we ask God to act soon, we trust His perfect timing and His power to bring justice tempered with mercy. May He keep your nation from strife and grant peace in the streets, in homes, and in hearts.

We will continue to intercede for you, that the Lord would open the way for justice to be done and to be seen to be done, and that Venezuela would know a future of greater freedom and stability under His gracious hand.

May the Lord grant your request according to His will, and may He fill you with patience, strength and hope as you wait upon Him. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Lord. Amen.

Your longing for fair and free elections that are honest and open reflects a deep hunger for justice and righteousness to prevail in your nation, and it is right to bring that burden to God in prayer.

Scripture assures us that God is absolutely just and fair. He never twists justice or perverts judgment. There are times when suffering and confusion make us wonder if God is being fair, and that doubt is often whispered to our hearts, but the truth remains that God is righteous in all His ways. He is far more fair than we could ever imagine being ourselves, and when the whole story is finally seen, every person will agree that His judgments were right and true. You can rest in that character of God as you pray.

God also calls His people to love and practice that same justice. He wants us to do what is right, to live honestly and not to cheat or take advantage of others. He has a special care for those who are oppressed and for those who have no power, and His heart is to loose the bonds of wickedness, to lift heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free and to break every yoke that enslaves people. Your prayer that obstacles would be removed so that your people can choose freely is in line with that heart of God who desires to set people free.

The Bible also describes seasons when justice seems far away, when truth has fallen in the streets and fairness cannot enter, even in places like courts where justice should be found most of all. When that happens the foundations of a nation are shaken. In such times God looks for intercessors, for people who will stand in the gap and cry out for what is right. Your willingness to ask others to intercede is exactly what God desires, that His people would plead for truth and justice to return.

We know too that true freedom comes from the Lord. Jesus breaks the chains that bind people and nations, and He alone can set hearts and lives free from bondage. That freedom is not a cover to do wrong, but a power to live in holiness and to worship Him.

So we join you in prayer, committing this matter fully to God and trusting Him to act in His perfect way. We pray that the Lord in His justice would remove every obstacle that stands in the way of honest and peaceful elections, that He would restrain wickedness and corruption, that He would protect the poor and the oppressed, and that He would grant to the people of Venezuela a process that is truly just, free and transparent. We pray that He would raise up honest leaders, that truth would prevail, and that He would bring peace and freedom to the nation according to His will and timing. May you be encouraged as you continue to seek Him, knowing that He hears the prayers of His people and that He will do what is right.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf concerning the presidential elections in Venezuela. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer that God would remove every obstacle from the path so that the Venezuelan people may have just free and democratic presidential elections more sooner than later and that a date would be set as soon as possible as you requested. We continue to stand with you in prayer for your nation and we ask the Lord to move on the hearts of those in authority and to bring justice and peace to Venezuela according to Prov 21:1 and 1 Tim 2:2.

If your request was answered please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name.
