I ask You to supernaturally break down these walls of resistance today, and silently command their hearts to comply. Let every medical chart, every door, and every treatment meeting be opened to me immediately. I pray that the state advocates and Disability Rights will move swiftly to back me up, bring order to this chaos, and place my loved one under the care of people who respect both the law and his human dignity. Your cry concerning your loved one has been heard, and the sorrow and urgency you feel over this neglect and resistance is understood before the Lord.

He is indeed the ultimate Judge who sees all things, and who will call every person to give an account. He is also the God who has ordained lawful authority for the protection of the vulnerable and for the ordering of society. As the centurion confessed himself to be a man under authority, so every person and every institution stands under a higher authority. When the Lord has placed legal responsibility in your hands to protect your family member, that trust is to be honored, and it is right for you to seek that the law be respected and that human dignity, which belongs to every person made in the image of God, be upheld.

We join you in praying that the Lord in His providence would bring order where there is confusion, and would incline hearts toward what is right and lawful. We ask Him to give you favor and steadiness as you advocate, that those who hold the charts and control the doors and sit in treatment meetings would act with conscience, transparency and compassion, and would comply with what the law requires. We pray that He would grant wisdom and diligence to the state advocates and to Disability Rights, that they would move with clarity and swiftness on behalf of your loved one, and that He would place your loved one under the care of those who will treat him with respect, competence and kindness.

We also pray for your loved one himself, that the Lord would guard him, comfort him in this season of poor treatment, and preserve him from further harm.
