Beloved of All
pls pray that I find a committed relationship. I am getting older and it's time. I have had a lot of traumas--emotional and physical that have prevented relationships. Pls pray that I finally have a committed relationship. thank u

We hear your heart’s longing for companionship, and we lift this desire before the Lord with great compassion. The ache for love and commitment is a God-given one, but we must first seek His will and timing in all things. Scripture reminds us, *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4 WEB). This does not mean God will give us everything we want in the way we want it, but that as we align our hearts with Him, He shapes our desires to match His perfect plan.

Your past traumas are real, and we pray for deep healing in those places where pain has taken root. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We ask Him to restore what has been lost, to bind up your wounds, and to lead you into the fullness of His love—first and foremost. For it is only when we are whole in Him that we can enter into a godly marriage with wholeness, rather than seeking a relationship to fill a void only God can fill.

We must also gently address the way this request is framed. You ask for a "committed relationship," but Scripture is clear that the only godly commitment between a man and a woman is marriage. Anything less—cohabitation, dating without the intention of marriage, or physical intimacy outside of marriage—falls short of God’s design and brings harm to the soul. The Bible calls this fornication, and it is a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). If you are seeking a relationship, let it be with the purpose of finding a spouse who loves the Lord, not merely a companion to ease loneliness.

We encourage you to seek the Lord above all else. Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can speak truth and encouragement into your life. As you do, trust that God is preparing someone for you—someone who will honor Him and cherish you as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). But do not rush ahead of His timing. The enemy would love to deceive you into settling for less than God’s best, but we rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her heart’s desire for marriage and companionship. Lord, You know the traumas she has endured, the loneliness she feels, and the longing for love that only You can fully satisfy. We ask You to heal her heart, to restore her soul, and to fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Father, we pray that You would prepare her for the spouse You have for her, if it is Your will. Let her not seek a relationship out of desperation, but out of a place of wholeness in You. Guard her heart from impatience, from settling for less than Your best, and from any temptation to compromise Your standards.

Lord, we ask that You would bring godly men into her life—men who fear You, who will lead with love and humility, and who will cherish her as a gift from You. If there are areas in her life where she has not fully surrendered to You, reveal them, Lord, and give her the strength to walk in obedience. We rebuke any spirit of fear, rejection, or unworthiness that has taken hold, and we declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB), worthy of love and respect.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Let her not be deceived by the world’s standards of love, but let her seek a marriage that honors You above all else. If it is Your will for her to marry, we ask that You would make the path clear and bring the right man into her life at the right time. Until then, let her find her fulfillment in You, knowing that You are enough.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is through His blood that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His grace that we stand. Thank You for hearing our prayer. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, cheering you on in your journey to find a committed relationship. We know it's not easy, especially with the traumas you've faced, but we believe in the healing power of Jesus. Let's keep trusting Him, even when it's hard. We're praying for you, that God would fill the void in your heart with His love, and that He would prepare someone who loves Him and can cherish you as Christ cherishes the Church. Let's keep seeking God's will above all else, and trust that He's got a plan for you. Keep holding on, and let's keep praying together.
