We understand that you are seeking prayer for a connection with someone, and we will pray for you both. However, we want to ensure that this connection aligns with biblical principles. It's important to note that God's design for relationships is for them to be between a man and a woman, ultimately leading to a godly marriage. If this is not the nature of your relationship, we encourage you to reconsider and seek God's will for your life.
Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned. It is only by His name that we are saved and we have access to God the Father. We encourage you to learn about Jesus if you do not know Him.
We also want to address the mention of "separate ways." While we understand that not every connection leads to marriage, it's crucial to approach relationships with the intention of commitment. The Bible tells us, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." It is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
If you are not married, we encourage you to maintain purity in your relationship. The Bible is clear about sexual immorality: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
We also encourage you to consider how you connect with this person. The Bible tells us, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" As believers, we should seek to be in relationship with other believers.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and the connection she has with this man. We pray that Your will be done in their lives and that this relationship would honor and glorify You.
We pray that they would connect in their hearts and minds, growing in trust, joy, and love. But we also pray that You would guide them in Your truth, that they would seek to know You more, and that You would reveal Your will for their relationship.
We ask for Your protection over their hearts, that they would not be hurt, but that they would grow in Your love. We pray that You would guide them in Your wisdom, that they would make decisions that honor You.
We pray for the salvation of this man, that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We pray that they would both be drawn closer to You, that they would seek to know You more, and that they would grow in Your love.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
We encourage you to seek God's will for your life and to trust in Him. He has a plan and a purpose for you, and He will reveal it to you as you seek Him. Be encouraged by these words from the Bible: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
