I need financial Provision and a connection with my friend

Tribe of Judah

Disciple of Prayer
I have been praying fervently for ###. And yes, I do care a lot for him. When I first saw him, I saw Grace and his love of Jesus Christ and his humility. I know he is vulnerable, but my heart wishes he would look at me in a marriage type of way. When I see his love for Christ, I see God preparing his heart, but knowing that his current relationship with a unequally yoked Christian girl, is hindering his walk, it makes me cry and breaks my heart. He has so much love to give and I have a of love to give. I would not take advantage of his tender heart, instead I've encouraged him to seek God and chase after God's own heart. Yes, I have feelings for him. It hurts to see him down a path that can and has and will continue to destroy him. The girl he has been dating is a fake Christian, narcissistic and self entitled and uses a "holier than thou" attitude. He carries her bag and goes on trips with her, alone.
I pray that Jesus Christ would cut and break all soul ties with her, and ### would look at my loving and encouraging message to him in a different view.

I have my car insurance bill, storage bill to pay for this week, and I have to pay for another week of a motel stay. I need provision and financial miracles. I have applied for new jobs, and praying for the right one to come along swiftly.

Praying for both requests in Jesus Christ mighty name AMEN.

We have heard your heart and we join with you in prayer before our Father in Jesus' name, bringing both your financial burden and your deep care for this young man to the throne of grace.

We thank God that you see grace and humility and love for Jesus Christ in him, and that you have encouraged him to seek God and chase after God's own heart rather than taking advantage of his tender and vulnerable spirit. That is a Christlike love. We also hear your desire that he would look at you in a marriage type of way, and we understand the pain you feel watching him walk down a path that you believe is harming his walk with the Lord. We want to pray with you for God's perfect will to be done, for a marriage that honors Him if that is His plan, while also gently correcting what needs correction.

First concerning your friend, we must speak plainly about what you have described. You said he is dating a girl who you believe is not walking faithfully, that she is unequally yoked, and that he carries her bag and goes on trips with her alone. Scripture is very clear, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity, or what fellowship has light with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14. If he is a believer and she does not truly know Christ, that relationship will hinder his walk, just as you have discerned with tears. Scripture also says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4, and Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. A man and a woman who are dating but not married going on trips alone together is not honoring to God and opens the door to fornication, which is sex before or outside of marriage. Even if nothing physical has happened, the appearance and the opportunity do not reflect the holiness God calls us to in courtship. Courtship should be intentional toward marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers, with accountability and purity, not trips alone as a boyfriend and girlfriend. We pray God will convict him deeply about this and bring him to repentance and purity. What you call soul ties, scripture describes as becoming one flesh, and God calls us to be joined only to our spouse in marriage 1 Corinthians 6:16. So we agree with you in praying that Jesus Christ would cut and break every ungodly tie and draw him fully to Himself first.

We also want to gently caution your own heart, dear sister. It is right to love and pray, but we must guard against jealousy, slander, and trying to steer his heart ourselves. You described this girl as a fake Christian, narcissistic, self entitled and holier than thou. We understand your hurt, but we are called to Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23, and to let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up Ephesians 4:29. We do not know her heart, God does, and we are called to love even those we see as enemies and to pray for them. We encourage you to pray for her salvation and transformation as well as for him, and to surrender your feelings for this young man fully to God. Do not pursue him while he is with another, do not send messages hoping to turn his affection toward you, but commit him to the Lord. If God intends a marriage between you, He is able to make that clear in His timing and in purity, without manipulation. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh Psalm 27:14. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4, as you seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness Matthew 6:33. A godly marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors God, and we pray for that kind of marriage for you if it is His will, not merely a relationship or partnership.

Concerning your financial need, we bring your car insurance bill, storage bill, motel stay for another week, and your search for work before the Lord with you. Our God sees your need and He is our Provider. We remember the promise My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We also remember that we are to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6, and that our Father knows what we need before we ask Matthew 6:31-32. We encourage you to continue to work diligently as you apply for jobs, for whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord Colossians 3:23, trusting that God opens the right door swiftly in His wisdom. He is able to do far more than we ask or think.

We now pray together.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come to You. We thank You that we have access to You only through Jesus, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no other name Acts 4:12. We thank You for this sister's love for You and for her friend. Lord, we lift this young man to You, we ask that You would draw him close, restore his walk, give him discernment to see if he is unequally yoked, and grant him courage to flee sexual immorality and to pursue purity and holiness. Break every ungodly tie that does not honor You and lead him to chase after Your own heart. If this relationship is not Your will, in Your mercy dissolve it in Your way and Your time. For our sister, guard her heart, heal her tears, take away any jealousy or bitterness, and help her to trust Your perfect will for a godly spouse and marriage. Let any connection between them be only what honors You and leads toward a Christ centered marriage between a man and a woman if You ordain it, otherwise give her peace to release it to You. Father, we also ask for Your provision over her financial needs, for the car insurance, the storage bill, the motel stay, and for daily bread. Provide a good job that will sustain her and allow her to serve You, open doors no man can shut, and give her peace as she waits on You. Show her that You are Jehovah Jireh, her Provider, and that all things work together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying right now. The pressure of bills due this week for insurance, storage and a place to stay would weigh on anyone, and at the same time you are carrying deep care and ache for your friend and his walk with the Lord. It makes sense that you feel torn and tired.

For the practical needs in front of you, we would encourage you to reach out soon to a trusted local church or community agency about short term help while the job search continues. Many churches and community groups can point you to financial counseling or assistance for budgeting and navigating a stretch of motel stays and bills, and having someone look at the numbers with you can bring a little breathing room and a clear next plan. Keep track of the jobs you have applied for and follow up where you can, and let someone nearby know the specific deadlines you are facing this week so you are not carrying it alone.

With your friend, we hear your desire to encourage him toward Jesus and your hope for something more. We are praying with you to entrust both of your hearts to the Lord's wisdom and timing, and to keep seeking Him first for your own peace and direction while God works in his life as well.

Father, we lift these immediate financial needs to You and ask for Your provision and guidance for work, and for wisdom and steadiness for our sister as she waits on You. Guard her heart and his, and lead both in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Colossians 3:12

Thank you Lord for asking for prayers amen!

Your heart has been opened before the Lord with two great burdens, one concerning provision for the body and one concerning affection of the heart, and both are to be brought to Him who hears prayer.

Concerning your need for daily provision, for shelter and for work, be assured that the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him and hope in His mercy. He who found a refuge for His people when the angel of death passed over Egypt, and who will find a refuge for them though the earth should rock and reel, will find a refuge for you in the matter of ordinary Providence. There is a refuge for you somewhere, Christian, even now. Your car insurance, your storage, your motel stay and your search for honest labour are not hidden from Him who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows. Pray then for bread and for work, and labour diligently with your hands as you seek that right employment, trusting not in chance but in the Lord who waits that He may be gracious.

Yet learn also the lesson which the apostle learned, that contentment is not in the extent of possessions but in the mind stayed upon Christ. He said, I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. In poverty you are capable of communion with Christ, who Himself had nowhere to lay His head and knew weariness at the well. Whether He gives little or much, pray that He will write His law upon your heart, that you may be kept in obedience and in peace while you wait upon His time. Those who wait upon God wait expectantly and patiently, not snatching at unripe fruit like children, but trusting that He will deliver in due season. Continue to seek work, to be faithful in little, to thank Him for mercies new every morning, and to hope in His mercy which never fails.

Concerning your affection for this friend, you must also wait upon the Lord and bow to His perfect will. It is good that you love Christ and desire a marriage that is in the Lord, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and it is to be entered only in holiness and with purity, keeping the bed undefiled and honouring Christ above all. But it is not for us to ask God to break another bond that we might take its place, nor to speak harshly of one made in His image. To call another a fake Christian and to judge her heart with such severity is a heavy thing, and if we see a brother or sister erring, our duty is to speak on God's behalf with truth and with love, not with contempt. We are to pray for all who profess Christ, that they may be sincere and prove by a life of obedience that their faith is not mimicry but reality.

Do not pray that God would turn this man's eyes toward you for your own desire, but pray that God would turn his heart and your heart wholly toward Christ. Pray that he, and you, and the young woman also, may be saved through Jesus Christ alone and may walk in the fear of God which makes a soul bold to do what is right. If he is unequally yoked, pray that the Lord will convict and guide according to His Word, not according to our wishes. If he travels and is tempted, pray that he will flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness. And pray for yourself, that you will guard your heart, that you will not encourage a divided affection or seek to take advantage of tenderness, but that you will be content to leave this matter in the Lord's hands, saying, Thy will be done.

The Lord writes His law upon the heart, and what He writes remains. Ask Him to write contentment, purity, and submission there, that whether this desire is granted or withheld, you may still say, Why art thou cast down, O my soul, hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, our refuge and our portion, we thank Thee that Thou art our everlasting strength and that Thine eye is upon those who fear Thee. We bring before Thee this need for daily bread, for shelter, for provision for car and storage and lodging, and for honest work. Open doors of labour, give favour with employers, and grant that which is sufficient for this week and for that which is to come, and with it give a contented heart that has learned to be satisfied in Christ. Keep this soul from despair and teach waiting faith.

We pray also for this friendship. Lord, Thou knowest all hearts. Save each soul through the blood of Jesus alone. Make each one holy, keep each one from sin, and lead each one to seek Thee first. If it be Thy will to bring a godly marriage, bring it in Thy time and in Thy way, with purity and with counsel and without covetousness. If it be not Thy will, grant grace to accept it and to be still more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Cleanse from all bitter words, and let love and truth dwell together. Let Thy law be written upon every heart, that obedience may follow.

We ask all this not because we are worthy, but because Christ is worthy, and in His mighty name we pray, Amen.
