Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I bring it before the Lord with you in prayer.
It is a heavy burden to work under the fear of being blamed for what you did not do, and to feel that traps or a false record might be set against you. Scripture teaches that injustice and false accusation are bitter, but the bitterness falls most heavily on the one who practices them, for God has planted in every person a conscience that cannot be bribed and He sees what is done in secret. He is the true Judge who is not swayed by flattery or corruption, and He knows the truth when others do not.
I pray for you now that God in His mercy would protect you from every plot and false accusation. May He expose what is false and establish what is true, so that no untrue record of mistakes is made against you. As the ancient law required that every matter be established by reliable witnesses, I ask that the Lord would require truth to be the standard in your workplace, that any accusation would be examined and found to be empty if it is false, and that those who might plan harm or seek to frame you would be restrained and brought to see the wrong of it.
I also pray for your heart, that God would free you from constant anxiety and give you peace. May He make you firm like a house built on rock, so that when the winds of vexation and the floods of accusation beat against you, you stand steady in integrity and faith. Even in this trial, may you be able to give thanks to God, trusting that He can turn evil intended against you into good, and that He will keep you whether through deliverance from the trial or strength within it.
I pray too for your boss and for all who have authority over you, that God would touch their conscience, turn them from carelessness or injustice, and lead them to act fairly and truthfully. May the Lord give you wisdom in your work, to act with diligence and order, to keep a clear and honest record of what you do, and to walk so uprightly that no just charge can stand.
May the Lord keep you from harm, guard your livelihood, and let His justice and mercy be evident in your workplace. I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Advocate, who judges righteously and defends those who trust in Him. Amen.
