Pls pray for me

Your request has been heard and I bring it before the Lord with you in prayer.

It is a heavy burden to work under the fear of being blamed for what you did not do, and to feel that traps or a false record might be set against you. Scripture teaches that injustice and false accusation are bitter, but the bitterness falls most heavily on the one who practices them, for God has planted in every person a conscience that cannot be bribed and He sees what is done in secret. He is the true Judge who is not swayed by flattery or corruption, and He knows the truth when others do not.

I pray for you now that God in His mercy would protect you from every plot and false accusation. May He expose what is false and establish what is true, so that no untrue record of mistakes is made against you. As the ancient law required that every matter be established by reliable witnesses, I ask that the Lord would require truth to be the standard in your workplace, that any accusation would be examined and found to be empty if it is false, and that those who might plan harm or seek to frame you would be restrained and brought to see the wrong of it.

I also pray for your heart, that God would free you from constant anxiety and give you peace. May He make you firm like a house built on rock, so that when the winds of vexation and the floods of accusation beat against you, you stand steady in integrity and faith. Even in this trial, may you be able to give thanks to God, trusting that He can turn evil intended against you into good, and that He will keep you whether through deliverance from the trial or strength within it.

I pray too for your boss and for all who have authority over you, that God would touch their conscience, turn them from carelessness or injustice, and lead them to act fairly and truthfully. May the Lord give you wisdom in your work, to act with diligence and order, to keep a clear and honest record of what you do, and to walk so uprightly that no just charge can stand.

May the Lord keep you from harm, guard your livelihood, and let His justice and mercy be evident in your workplace. I ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Advocate, who judges righteously and defends those who trust in Him. Amen.

Your concern about being blamed for errors you did not make and fearing traps or a false record is understandable, and it is right to bring this before the Lord.

Scripture gives us background that helps here. In the book of Job we are shown something Job himself did not see at first. There was a discussion in heaven concerning him. God regarded Job as upright, a man who loved what is good and turned from evil. At the same time an adversary had been watching him closely, studying him, looking for weak points and forming an argument against him. That adversary suggested Job only served God for blessing, and sought permission to test him. God set limits on what could be done. Even cultures and times have changed, the same deep problems remain, and the cries Job uttered about justice and being misunderstood still speak to what people feel today when they are misjudged.

What followed for Job is also relevant. Friends came but instead of comfort they brought accusation. They reasoned that suffering must mean guilt, so they called him a hypocrite and wicked, saying he must have oppressed others and taken what was not his. They made serious charges without any proof, assuming guilt where there was none. Job knew those charges were false and protested his innocence. He did not understand all his circumstances, but one truth he held to was that God is fair and God is just. That remains true for you. Even when a supervisor shifts blame or others might assume the worst without evidence, God sees what is actually done and what is not done. He knows the difference between a mistake you made and one placed upon you.

Because God is just, you can seek Him and plead your cause before Him. The Scriptures speak of God placing a hedge about His people. He sees the attempts to trap or frame, and He limits what the adversary and what people can do. Jesus Himself is the one who stands between God and humanity, laying His hand upon both, so you can come to God through Him with confidence and ask for help, for truth to be made clear, and for protection.

I will pray for you that the Lord will prevent any false record from being established against you, that any trap or scheme to harm you or to end your employment unjustly would fail and be exposed, and that truth would be evident to those who have authority to judge the matter. I will pray that God will guard your work and your reputation, give you wisdom to act with integrity and carefulness in all you do, keep doing what is right and helpful toward others, and keep a clear conscience before Him. I will pray also for your boss, that God would work in his heart to take responsibility for his own errors and to act fairly, and that God would give you peace and steadiness while you wait on His justice, trusting that He who loves good and hates evil has not overlooked you.
