Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking Him to guard you, to silence every accusation against you, and to bring His peace and protection over your past, present and future.
It is good to remember what Scripture teaches about our adversary. His names tell us much about him. He is called Satan which means adversary, devil which means slanderer and accuser, and also serpent and dragon, the same one who deceived Eve. He is also called the prince of this world, and Jesus Himself used that title for him. When Adam yielded to his suggestion and disobeyed God, humanity forfeited the stewardship God had given and the world came under his influence for a time. When he offered Jesus the kingdoms of the world, Jesus did not dispute that they had been delivered to him for a season, but Jesus came to redeem the world back to God.
Yet he is in no way the opposite of God. God is eternal, self existent and all powerful. Satan is a created being with limited power. He leads other angels who joined his rebellion, and there is real conflict in the spiritual realm, but he remains under the authority of God and can only work within boundaries God allows. That is a great comfort.
You asked that Jesus would completely stop every work and plan of the enemy and bind him so he cannot carry out his work. Scripture shows us both the present victory and the future completion of that victory. At the cross Satan was defeated. There the stronger One overcame the strong man who was guarding his house. Because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, we can come against the enemy's work in the authority of the name of Jesus and see his hold broken in lives. We can point to the cross when he accuses and destroys, for he is the destroyer and has ruined many lives, but Jesus is the deliverer.
At the same time, God still allows him limited liberty within prescribed boundaries until the appointed end. We see this clearly in the story of Job. Satan had studied Job, watched him closely, and formed a plan against him. He even came to present himself before the Lord and complained about the hedge God had placed around Job. God permitted a testing, but set a firm limit, do not touch him, and later set another limit. In the same way God has set limits for you. His promise remains that He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but will provide a way through. Satan may study and scheme, but he cannot go beyond what God permits, and he must work by deception because God honors the freedom He gave to each person.
The complete and final end you are praying for will surely come. At present Satan still has influence in this world, but when Jesus returns He will be bound and cast into the abyss for a thousand years, and afterwards into the lake of fire which was prepared for him and his angels, not for people. Then every direct and indirect work and every influence will be forever removed. That day is certain because God has declared it.
So I have prayed that even now the Lord Jesus would make His victory real to you, that He would silence the voice of the accuser, that He would frustrate every plan formed against you, and that He would bind the blinding and destroying power that seeks to keep people in darkness. I have asked Him to cover your past with His blood, to guard your present steps, and to keep your future in His hands, to fill you with His Spirit and to give you confidence not in your own strength but in the One who is stronger.
Keep looking to Jesus, trust His finished work on the cross, and walk in the authority of His name. He is faithful to keep you, and He will complete what He has begun.
