We hear the heaviness in your heart and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord together. The struggle you describe of seeking reassurance, feeling paranoid, and fearing that you have made someone angry for doing what was right is a very real burden, and we want to lift it with you to the One who sees all and judges righteously.
Standing up to protect your niece and sister and standing by the truth is honorable before God. To defend the vulnerable is right and good, even when others misunderstand or turn against you for it. We understand the pain of feeling used and then ignored when you speak truth, and the ache of wanting closure when people only hear one side of the story. The fear of man and the worry about what others think can become a snare, as we are reminded in Proverbs 29:25, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. We also hear your desire to stop seeking reassurance from people and to learn to trust God fully, and that is the very place He wants to lead you. He calls us to trust in Yahweh with all our heart, and not lean on our own understanding, in Proverbs 3:5-6, and to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you, in 1 Peter 5:7.
Wanting closure from people who have been mean or one sided may never come, because true peace and closure do not come from their approval but from God Himself. He knows the whole truth when others only know one side, and He promises that He will work all things together for good for those who love Him, in Romans 8:28. We are told in Romans 12:19 not to avenge ourselves but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. We can release the need to know one way or the other from people and instead rest in the perfect peace He gives to those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him, in Isaiah 26:3. We are also taught in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we claim for you Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
You asked for forgiveness of your sins and we want to lovingly point out something most important that was not mentioned in your request. You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that we are forgiven and saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be forgiven we must confess our sins to God through Jesus and believe in Him. As 1 John 1:9 promises, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Forgiveness is not earned by our wanting to let go or by our good stand for truth, but by the blood of Jesus shed for us. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name for salvation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is anxious and weary. We thank You that You see the truth of what happened when they protected their niece and sister, and You know the pain of being used and then ignored. Lord, forgive all sins as they have been confessed before You, cleanse them by the blood of Jesus, and let them know the assurance of Your forgiveness. We ask You to break the cycle of seeking reassurance from people and teach them to trust You fully. Replace paranoia and fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to let go of the need for closure from others and to find closure and rest in You, knowing You are the righteous Judge who knows both sides. Strengthen their heart to stand by the truth with love, to forgive those who have been mean, and to walk free from the snare of the fear of man. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help them to know they are safe and upheld by Your right hand. We ask this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage you to keep bringing every anxious thought to Him in prayer, to stay in His Word daily, and to let His truth be your reassurance rather than the response of people. God is faithful, He hears you, He has forgiven you through Christ, and He will give you the grace to let this go and to trust Him one day at a time.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
