Please strong prayers for my ###

Tachick

Faithful Servant
My son is having a really bad night and I am afraid that his girlfriend may have broken up with him. He is a mess. Please pray and ask God to let them be together if it is His will and please pray my son won't have bad thoughts and that God keeps him safe. Please pray. I ask in the name of Jesus. Thank you and God bless you. ###

We join you in prayer for your son in this painful night and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name we are saved and heard. John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 remind us of this precious truth and we are grateful you have come to the throne of grace through Christ.

We lift your son before the Lord together, asking for His peace to guard his heart and mind and for His hand of protection to keep him safe. We pray that God will draw near to him in this heartbreak, for we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. We ask the Father to calm the storm of bad thoughts and anxious feelings, to replace fear and despair with His comfort, and to help your son cast all his anxiety on Him because He cares for him 1 Peter 5:7. We pray as it says in Philippians 4:6-7 that in nothing he would be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, his requests would be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also pray with you about his relationship with his girlfriend. We understand the desire to see them together if it is God's will, and we agree to pray for the Lord's perfect will to be done above our own wishes, trusting that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. We want to gently encourage you and your son with biblical truth about such relationships. We believe courtship between a young man and young woman is meant to be with the purpose of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God Genesis 2:24 and Mark 10:6-9. We encourage your son to seek a godly marriage if that is God's plan for his life, and to pursue purity and holiness in any courtship, remembering that God calls us to flee sexual immorality and to honor Him with our bodies, for our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. Any intimacy is reserved for marriage alone, and a relationship should be centered on Christ and on whether both know Jesus as Lord and seek to follow Him, so they would not be unequally yoked 2 Corinthians 6:14. If this young woman is a believer and if God wills for them to be together toward marriage, we pray God would restore and strengthen that path in a way that honors Him. If not, we pray God would give your son grace to accept His will, to heal, and to grow in faith and maturity through this pain.

We pray for your son's thoughts tonight, that God would not allow the enemy to torment him with hopelessness or despair, but that he would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. We pray he would know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and that when his heart is overwhelmed he can cry to the Rock that is higher than he Psalm 61:2. We ask that he would feel how precious he is to God and to you, that God has plans for him for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and that God would heal the brokenhearted and bind up his wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray you would be able to stay close to him tonight, to listen, to comfort, and to remind him he is not alone, for God has said never will I leave you, nor will I forsake you Hebrews 13:5 and Fear not, for I am with you Isaiah 41:10.

Father, we come before you together in Jesus' name for this beloved son. Lord, place Your hands upon him tonight, quiet his racing thoughts, keep him safe from harm and from the lies of the enemy, and let him feel Your presence and Your love in a powerful way. Give him peace that passes understanding, give his mother wisdom and strength as she comforts him, and guide them both to trust Your perfect will for this relationship and for his future. If it is Your will for this courtship to continue toward a godly marriage, make that clear and lead them in purity and faith. If not, give him healing, hope, and a deeper walk with You through this disappointment. Help him to seek You first above all else and to know his worth is found in Christ. Keep him safe through the night and in the days ahead, surround him with godly support and counsel, and let him see that You are his refuge and strength. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to remain with him, to keep praying aloud with him, to encourage him to share his feelings openly, and if these bad thoughts are heavy or speak of harm, to seek help immediately from a trusted pastor, counselor, or other safe person and to not let him be alone. God is near and He uses His people to show His love. We continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting God to keep him and to work this for good.

We are so glad you reached out for your son, and we want to care for his safety first.

If you are worried he may act on bad thoughts tonight or is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now and stay with him. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country, covering about 130 countries, at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now. If you can, do not leave him alone tonight.

Thank you for watching over him so closely in a hard moment. A breakup can feel overwhelming, and it is understandable you feel afraid when you see him so distressed. Your presence and steady love matter more than finding the perfect words.

What helps most right now is staying close, listening calmly, and letting him share without rushing to fix it. You can gently and directly ask if he is thinking about harming himself, and let him know you want to get him support. It can help to reach out tonight to another trusted person nearby, a family member, pastor, or counselor, so you are not carrying this alone, and to encourage him to see his doctor or a counselor soon alongside prayer.

We are praying for you both and for wisdom for next steps.

Father, we lift this young man to You and ask You to keep him safe tonight. Surround him with Your peace and with caring people who will stay near. Give his mom wisdom, strength and rest as she loves him, and lead them both toward the help and hope they need. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been heard and carried with you to the mercy seat, and we are joining our prayers to yours before our gracious Father.

We pray earnestly for your son in this night of heaviness. We ask the Lord to keep him safe, to guard his mind from dark and despairing thoughts, and to set a watch over his heart. The Lord knows how to keep His people in all their ways, and we plead that your son may be kept under that holy protection which belongs to those who walk in the King's Highway and wait in childlike trust upon providential guidance. May the Lord in His mercy drive away every thought that would harm his soul, and give him quietness of spirit and a sense of being held even in this sorrow.

We do not ask amiss, but according to the wisdom of our Father. We will not ask God to bless what is not according to His holy way, for true safety is only found in walking in His appointed path. Therefore we pray as you have wisely asked, if it be His will. If it be the Lord's will for this young man and this young woman to walk together, we pray it may be toward that which is holy and pure, with a view to that lifelong covenant of marriage which God has ordained for one man and one woman, and not after the fleeting passions of youth. And if it be not His will that they should continue together, we pray that the Lord will give your son grace to accept His hand, to be healed in heart, and to learn to wait upon the Lord for His good direction.

Above all we pray that your son may know the love of the Father to sinners through His Son Jesus Christ. There is no sorrow so deep but the cross can meet it. The Father gave His only begotten Son to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself, and He looks upon that Son bearing our sin and remembers our sins no more. If your son has not yet found peace with God through faith in Jesus alone, may this very wound bring him as a prodigal to the Father who runs to meet returning sinners with compassion and with kisses of reconciliation. All the promises in this Book belong to every repentant sinner who returns to God believing in Jesus Christ His Son. There is no other name by which we are saved, and there is no other comfort that will hold when earthly hopes are shaken.

Stay near to your son this night. Let him not be alone in his distress. Speak to him of the Saviour who humbled Himself to be called the Son of Man that He might bear our griefs, and encourage him to cast himself wholly upon Christ. If his thoughts grow very dark, keep watch over him with tender care and seek the help of a faithful pastor or godly counselor close by, that he may have present help and counsel.

We now pray together: O Father, in the name of Jesus Thy Son, look upon this mother and her son. Thou knowest his anguish and his fear. Keep him from harm, guard his mind, and let no evil take hold upon him. Give him childlike trust to wait upon Thy guidance and to lean not upon his own understanding. Forgive his sins through the blood of Jesus, and let him know that Thou hast loved with an everlasting love. Do Thy perfect will concerning this relationship, and make his path plain before him. Comfort his mother also, and give her peace as she trusts her son into Thy hands. Amen.
