Beloved of All
Your request has been lifted in prayer and I want you to know that God has heard your cry for help. You are suffering and afraid, asking for healing from inflammation, for protection over your eyesight, and for safety through this week, and the Lord who is full of compassion hears when His children cry to Him.
I have prayed that God will bring healing to your body and guard your eyes and keep you safe from harm. Scripture shows us the tender heart of Jesus as He healed so many who were brought to Him. He bore our sicknesses and infirmities, and every form of healing comes from Him. Sometimes His healing is immediate, sometimes it comes gradually through a process, and even the natural healing processes He placed in our bodies are His divine work. We can trust His love and His power while also doing what is wise and prudent for our health, seeking proper care when needed.
I also prayed for your fear, because you said you are very scared. Fear is a tool the enemy often uses against us, and it grows when we take our eyes off the Lord and fix them on our problems. When Peter looked at the wind and waves instead of Jesus, fear took hold and his faith weakened. Faith and fear cannot live together in the same place. Where faith is strong, fear must leave, and where fear takes over, faith is pushed aside.
The cure for fear is to remember the Lord. As David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear. The Lord is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid. Remember that He is with you right now, greater is He who is with you than any threat against you, and He is able to protect you wherever you are.
The Bible also speaks of another kind of fear, the reverent awe of God. That holy respect for who God is, His greatness and power and goodness, is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. It is not a phobia but a deep reverence that leads us to love what He loves and turn from what is evil, and it brings confidence and peace because the Lord becomes our trust and keeps our feet steady. He promises that those who live in that reverence will not lack what they truly need, for He cares for His own.
So keep your eyes on Jesus. When fear rises, turn your thoughts back to Him, to His presence, His promises, and His care for you. Rest in the truth that He has not turned His face from you in your affliction but hears you when you call.
May the Lord touch your body and calm the inflammation, protect your eyesight, and guard you from harm. May He quiet your heart, drive out fear with faith, and fill you with His peace as you trust in Him day by day. May you know His nearness and His keeping power through this week and in the days ahead. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
