Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request for prayer has been heard and I have remembered you before the Lord, asking Him for your safety whenever you travel and for His continual protection over you.
Prayer is a great good and preserves the soul, and God is gracious and long suffering and rich in mercy and pity. We have asked Him to keep you, to guard your going out and your coming in, and to be your guide on every road you take.
As you travel, remember to walk soberly and wakefully. The way of this life is narrow and has precipices on either side, and we travel it well only when we are watchful and when Jesus is our guide. Those who journey best are not those who carry much with them, but those who have learned to live simply and to trust God rather than many provisions. Commit each journey to Him beforehand, travel with a clear conscience, and give thanks for His mercy which has made and sustains all things.
Therefore while we pray for you, strive also to live in a manner worthy of that prayer, showing mercy to your neighbor as you desire mercy from God, for the merciful shall obtain mercy. May the Lord keep you from all harm, direct your steps, bring you safely to your destination, and above all keep your soul safe in His grace until you reach the true and lasting home He has prepared. We will continue to pray for your protection.
May God bless you and keep you in His care. Amen.
