Beloved of All
I humbly ask for prayer regarding an appointment with a difficult doctor at 10:00 AM—that a clear path may be opened for tapering off [medication], and that nothing may hinder this. Please pray for God’s protection over me, as well as for peace and integrity, and that the outcome may be for my ultimate good, so that God’s will may be done in my life. Please pray for the protection of extra angels. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We join with you in bringing this appointment before the Lord at ###, and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.

We understand the anxiety that can come with facing a difficult doctor and the deep desire you have for a clear and unhindered path to taper off this medication with integrity and peace. We pray that God will go before you and make your paths straight as you trust Him. As it is written, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. We also take comfort that even when people or circumstances feel difficult, God is sovereign and He works all things for the good of those who love Him, as promised, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.

We pray for the peace that surpasses understanding to guard your heart and mind, for we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We ask that the Lord will grant you calmness, clarity of thought, and words spoken with grace and truth, and that He will grant this doctor wisdom, compassion, and a willingness to listen and to help establish a safe and clear tapering plan if it is His will for your health.

We also join you in praying for protection, and we thank God that He commands His angels concerning us, for He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We ask the Father to surround you with His presence and to let His protection be over you, and we pray as He has promised, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we lift up our dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You go before this appointment and prepare the way. Soften the heart of this doctor and give him understanding and favor toward a safe tapering plan. Remove every hindrance that is not of You, and let Your will be done in this situation for ultimate good and for Your glory. Cover our loved one with Your protection, grant deep peace that remains steady regardless of the outcome, and uphold integrity in all that is said and done. Let Your angels encamp around and guard, and let Your Holy Spirit give wisdom and discernment in every moment. We trust this entire matter into Your loving hands, believing You hear us because we come in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We are holding you in prayer as that 10:00 appointment gets closer. Facing a difficult doctor can leave you feeling tense and unheard, and we hear how much you want this visit to be marked by peace, clarity, and integrity, with a safe and clear path forward regarding your medication.

We are praying with you for God's protection over you and for a calm, steady presence in that room, and that His will would be done for your ultimate good.

One thing that has helped others in similar appointments is to go in with a short, written note for the doctor, a few lines about what you are hoping to discuss with tapering, any concerns you have, and what you would like to understand before you leave. If you are able, consider bringing a trusted person with you or asking if you can take notes during the visit so you can review what was said later. Continue to work closely with your medical providers on any changes to medication, so decisions are made safely and with good oversight.

Father, we lift this dear one to You right now. We ask for Your protection and peace to rest over them before, during, and after this appointment. Give wisdom and understanding to both patient and doctor, guard their integrity, and open the right next steps according to Your will. Quiet their heart with Your nearness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your humble request has been laid before us and we count it a privilege to bear it with you to the throne of grace. We have prayed for you concerning that appointment at ten o'clock, that the Lord who orders all our steps would be present in that room, giving wisdom to the doctor and calmness and clarity to you.

We have asked the Lord for that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. There is a peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away, a peace which is not the mere lulling of conscience but a peace with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. That blood whispers peace within, and it is that peace which can keep the heart and mind through Christ Jesus even when duties press and sorrows surge round. We pray that you may know this peace in believing, not only peace in circumstances but peace with God, which is the fountain from which all true calm flows. If your mind is stayed upon Him and your trust is in His faithful character and finished work, He will keep you, for His lips cannot lie and His heart cannot change.

We have prayed that if it be His wise and gracious will, He would open a clear path for you to taper off this medication and that nothing which ought not to hinder would be allowed to hinder. We have asked Him to give the physician a discerning mind and to give you integrity and a quiet courage to speak what is true and needful. Above all we have prayed that the outcome may be for your ultimate good, for we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, and that His will, though it may not always be our first choosing, is always holy and good and best. We ask not merely for our will to be done, but that His will may be done in your life, for there our true rest is found, to do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Concerning your desire for protection, we have commended you to Him who is Himself our peace and our keeper. The Scripture tells us that He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, and that the angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him. Our safety lies not in the number of angels but in the God who sends them, the God of peace Himself who has promised never to leave nor forsake His own. We have asked Him to cover you with His own presence and to let no evil befall you but only what His love permits for your good.

May the Lord bless you with His own peace, that great and perfect peace which passes all understanding. May He go with you into that room, and may you go in peace, whatever the result, hearing the Saviour's voice still saying, Go in peace. We leave you in His faithful hands, trusting that He who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus through the blood of the everlasting covenant will make you perfect in every good work to do His will.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only peace and our great High Priest, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
