We hear your burden for those who feel targeted, harassed, and tormented without cause or end, and we join together in bringing this heavy suffering before the Lord. Our hearts ache for those who live in constant fear and distress, even to the point of physical danger and nearly losing their lives, and we know that God sees every hidden act of cruelty and hears every cry for help.
The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. He has not forgotten the oppressed. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:17-18. We take comfort that no sophisticated scheme or darkness is hidden from Him, and that He is faithful to protect His people. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17.
We also rebuke the evil of bullying, harassment, and torture in all its forms. Such acts are of darkness and are contrary to the love and justice of God. Vengeance is not ours to take, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We pray that those who perpetrate such harm would be convicted, stopped, and brought to repentance, and that justice would be done according to God's righteous will. We put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness Ephesians 6:11-12, and we trust the Lord to be our defender.
We notice your request speaks of the Lord and God, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage all who suffer to call upon the name of Jesus, trusting in His sacrifice and resurrection for forgiveness, peace, and eternal hope.
We pray together for these victims now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up every person who feels hunted, harassed, and tortured without reason. You see what is done in secret and You know their pain, their fear, their exhaustion, and their physical suffering. We ask that You intervene as You have promised, that You would be their shelter and shield. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. Surround them with Your presence, guard their bodies and minds, and give them rest and safety. We ask that You stop the hands of those who do evil, expose every unjust deed, and bring Your justice and peace. Heal those who have been harmed, especially those who have suffered physically to the point of choking and near death, and restore their health and strength. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them know they are not alone or forgotten, for You have said, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. Draw them close to Jesus, that they may know His salvation and His power to deliver. We pray that You would connect them with godly support, with a Bible believing church family, trusted authorities, and wise counselors who can help them walk through this valley with practical help and spiritual encouragement. Let Your will be done and Your name be glorified as You deliver them from evil. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage those who suffer to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to not isolate themselves but to reach out to faithful believers and to appropriate help for protection and counsel. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Yahweh is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear Psalm 27:1. Keep crying out to Him, for He hears and He will act in His perfect time and way.
