We join you in lifting up the marriage of your parents before the Lord, seeking His will together in Jesus' name. We know how heavy it can be to carry concern for the marriage of those who gave you life, and we thank you for bringing this need to prayer. God deeply values marriage, for He established it from the beginning as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and He desires that it reflect His love and faithfulness.
The scripture reminds us, What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9. Marriage is holy in the sight of God, and He calls husbands and wives to love, honor, and forgive one another. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, and Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Love covers a multitude of sins 1 Peter 4:8 and when love, forgiveness, and humility are present, God can bring healing and restoration even where there has been hurt, distance, or brokenness.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and lift up this marriage to You. You see every struggle, every wound, and every need in their hearts. We ask that You pour out Your grace and mercy upon them, that You would soften hearts where there is hardness, bring forgiveness where there has been offense, and restore communication and tenderness between them. Help them to remember the covenant they made before You and to honor it with faithfulness. Teach them to love one another as Christ loves us, to bear with one another in love, and to be clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, and patience Colossians 3:14. Where there is conflict, bring Your peace. Where there is weariness, bring Your strength. Draw them both closer to You, so that as they draw closer to You they will draw closer to one another. We ask that You protect their marriage from anything that would divide it and that You make it a testimony of Your redeeming power. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for them and to honor them as your parents, as the Lord commands Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12. You can be an instrument of peace by speaking with grace, by not taking sides in a way that dishonors either parent, and by gently pointing them toward the Lord and toward godly counsel when the opportunity arises. Trust that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think Ephesians 3:20.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share lovingly that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be saved we must believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and rose again and confess Him as Lord Romans 10:9. It is in His name that our prayers are heard, and it is through faith in Him that we receive forgiveness and eternal life. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ and to bring every need to God in His name, and to encourage your parents to do the same.

Your request concerning your parents marriage has been brought before the Lord and we join with you in seeking His mercy upon that home.
We are reminded that our God is the God of Peace who has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation. There has been a long quarrel between God and man, and He has committed unto His people the word of reconciliation, that rebels might be brought back to their Maker and find peace through Jesus Christ alone. What He does for souls He delights to do for homes, for the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit but His leaves are full of healing virtue, to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon your parents with healing in His wings. Scripture places healing and pardon in happy conjunction, and when the Lord comes to dwell with His people they have no need to say they are sick, for pardon and healing are one in Christ. May the Lord grant to your father and mother first forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, and then healing for every wound of heart and home. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and no desertion, unkindness, or fickleness of this world is beyond His hand to cure. A real saving work is the work of God alone, and He is able to do it.
We also take comfort from Peter's restoration. He was down but he was soon up again, brought back by a look from the Lord. That look severed him from the crowd and restored him to his place. So we ask that Christ would look upon this marriage with that same restoring gaze, that what has been broken or grown cold may be uplifted again. If there has been wandering, neglect, or sin, may the Lord grant repentance and a turning again to the old life and hope which is in Him, that they may be strengthened and walk together in the lifelong covenant which God ordained for one man and one woman.
Let us pray. O Lord our God, who hast shown us abundant streams of healing flowing from Christ our Head, look in mercy upon this marriage. Forgive sin for Jesus sake, and with forgiveness send healing. Let Thy Spirit work reconciliation where there is strife, tenderness where there is hardness, and faithfulness where there is weakness. Dwell Thou in that home, and where Thou dwellest let sickness of soul and division be taken away. Teach them to hear Thy word and to walk in Thy way, that their union may be preserved in holiness and love, to the honor of Thy name and the good of those Thou hast entrusted to them. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Jesus bears with Him power to heal. In His name we pray, Amen.
