Waiting a long time for an answer that you have carried in prayer is heavy on the heart, and it is understandable to feel weary and to long for the waiting to be over.
I have prayed for you, asking the Lord to show His mercy and wisdom in this situation and to give you His peace while you wait.
Scripture shows us that God is patient and long suffering, not slow as we count slowness. There is a mystery in His waiting. Since Jesus purchased redemption, so much time has passed before He comes to claim fully what He purchased, and that delay has been mercy for many. When His appointed time comes, there will be no more delay. He does not forget His people or His promises, and His timing is perfect even when it feels long to us.
Often we only see part of the message, like people watching a distant signal through fog who thought they had heard of defeat when the full message was actually victory. We see the part that worries us, but God sees the whole. He is working behind the scenes in ways we cannot see, guiding and directing steps, even in seasons when we feel forsaken. Through all of those unseen steps He is still faithful.
That does not mean every delay will end exactly as we hope, but it does mean we can trust the One who hears. If you are at peace with God through Jesus Christ, you can bring this request to Him with confidence, knowing He hears and He cares, and you can rest in His will whether the answer is yes, no, or wait. His peace is for those who are no longer at war with Him but have come to Him in repentance and faith.
So I prayed that the Lord would answer according to His perfect wisdom and love, that if it is His will He would open the door without further hindrance, and that in either case He would make His presence and His will clear to you. I asked that He would guard your heart from discouragement, increase your trust in Him, and remind you how far He has already brought you by His grace.
May the Lord grant you strength to keep seeking Him, quiet confidence in His care, and the assurance that He who is so faithful will do what is best. In Jesus name, Amen.
