We lift your silent requests before the throne of grace, trusting that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of your heart even when words fail. Your acknowledgment of His grace and the name of Jesus is a sweet fragrance before Him, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Father God, we stand in the gap for our brother/sister, interceding on their behalf. You know the depths of their heart and the burdens they carry. We ask that You would move mightily in their situation, whatever it may be. Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your hope, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
Lord, if there are areas in their life that do not align with Your will, we ask that You would convict their heart by Your Holy Spirit. Lead them into all truth and righteousness, for Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). If they are struggling with sin, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, or any other transgression, we pray that You would grant them the strength to repent and turn away from it. Your grace is sufficient for them, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy in their life. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over them, their family, and all that concerns them. May they walk in the victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross.
Father, we also pray for their relationships. If they are seeking a spouse, we ask that You would prepare them and their future husband/wife for a godly marriage that honors You. Let them not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14), but may they find a partner who loves You with all their heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). If they are currently in a relationship, we pray that it would be one of purity, respect, and mutual edification, with the ultimate goal of marriage. Guard their hearts and bodies from sexual immorality, for Your Word commands us to flee from fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). If they have fallen into sin in this area, lead them to repentance and restoration.
Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your blessings upon them. Meet every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that no one can open (Revelation 3:7). Give them wisdom and discernment in every decision they face. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and mercy. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your sovereign plan for their life. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, to whom be glory both now and forever. Amen.
