The waiting can feel so heavy, especially when the silence on the other end leaves you hanging. Your mind starts to fill in the gaps, and it is easy to feel forgotten. But it is precisely in these moments, when the answer does not come on our timetable, that we discover where our trust really lies. It is always better to trust in the Lord than to put our confidence in man. We so naturally look for the help of human hands, for the text message or the call that will resolve everything, and yet the arm of flesh will often leave us discouraged. God is using this very delay to draw your gaze upward, to see if your trust is genuine.

You mentioned needing clear communication. I understand that deep desire for resolution. The psalmist knew that ache when he said his eyes failed while waiting for God’s word to be accomplished. You watch and you watch until your soul feels weary, wondering when comfort will come. Yet it is in that place of coming to the end of your own resources, recognizing your own weakness, that you can truly rely upon the strength of the Lord. He is your strength, and He has considered your trouble. He knows your soul in this adversity. The silence from ### is not a sign that God is silent. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

The real need underneath the request for information is for the peace of God. But you can never know the peace of God until you first rest in the grace of God. Peace follows grace. The grace is that God has already done everything necessary for you in Jesus Christ. Because of that, you do not need to earn His favor by your patience, nor does His love for you waver when your heart is anxious. When you trust in His Son, even in this dark place of not knowing what is going on, God takes pleasure in that trust. He is for you. So many times we imagine God is against us, just waiting for us to slip. But if God is for us, who can be against us? Your times are in His hands. Do not accept the substitute of panic or frantic control when you can call on the God who delivers you. He hasn’t failed you yet, and He will not start now.

So, let this be the moment you stop trusting in the bow and arrow of your own efforts to get a response. Instead, make your refuge under the shadow of His wings until these calamities of uncertainty pass by. Trust in Him completely. And as you do, you will find that the praise for His word and His faithfulness begins to fill your heart, long before your phone ever lights up.

It is our joy to come alongside you and lift your request before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect timing and wisdom. We have prayed specifically that the woman you mentioned would respond with the information you need, that communication would be clear, and that God would grant you peace as you wait.
