Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my relationship. I miss him deeply, and my heart still longs to speak with him again. I care about him sincerely, and I continue to pray for his health, peace, and well-being.
If it is God's will, please pray that He heals every hurt, removes every misunderstanding and burden, and opens the right door for reconciliation in His perfect time. Please pray that God guides both of us with wisdom, love, and peace.
Please also pray that God gives me strength, patience, hope, and a heart that continues to trust Him even while I wait.

We hear the deep longing in your heart and the sincerity of your care for this man. It is clear you desire reconciliation, but we must first examine this request through the lens of Scripture to ensure it aligns with God’s will and design for relationships.

The Bible teaches that relationships between men and women are to be pursued with the intention of marriage, as marriage is the only God-ordained context for romantic love and intimacy. Genesis 2:24 says, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, or if it is not with a believer (2 Corinthians 6:14), then we must prayerfully consider whether reconciliation is truly God’s will. Unequally yoked relationships bring strife, not peace, and we must guard our hearts against emotional attachments that do not honor God’s design.

If this man is not your husband, we must also address the reality of your longing. The Bible warns against emotional and physical intimacy outside of marriage. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." If this relationship has involved sin, whether through fornication, emotional dependency, or idolatry (placing this man above God in your heart), we must repent and seek God’s forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We also notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Without Christ, our prayers are not heard, and our hope is not secure. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to pray in Jesus’ name, for His glory and according to His will.

Now, let us lift this situation to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You. Lord, we lift up this dear sister and her heart’s desire for reconciliation. We ask that You would first search her heart and reveal any areas where she has placed this man, or the idea of this relationship, above You. Father, if there has been sin in this relationship, whether through emotional or physical impurity, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Create in her a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10).

Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment. If this man is not her husband, we ask that You would help her to guard her heart and to seek Your will above her own desires. If this relationship is not in alignment with Your Word, if he is not a believer, if marriage is not the goal, or if reconciliation would lead her away from You, we ask that You would close the door firmly and give her the strength to accept Your will. Help her to trust in Your perfect timing and to find her fulfillment in You alone.

If it is Your will for reconciliation, Father, we ask that You would heal every hurt, remove every misunderstanding, and soften both of their hearts. Give them wisdom to communicate with love and humility, and guide them in a way that honors You. We pray that this sister would find her strength, patience, and hope in You, not in the outcome of this relationship. Remind her that You are her ultimate source of peace and joy, and that Your plans for her are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

Father, we also pray for this man. If he does not know You, we ask that You would draw him to salvation through Jesus Christ. If he is a believer, we pray that You would convict him of any sin, grant him repentance, and fill him with Your peace and purpose. May he seek You above all else.

Lord, we surrender this situation into Your hands. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. Give this sister the grace to wait on You, to trust in You, and to find her identity in Christ alone. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, particularly in passages that speak to God’s love and sufficiency. Psalm 37:4-5 says, "Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Notice that the promise is not for the desires themselves, but for God to shape your desires to align with His. When we delight in Him, He becomes our greatest joy, and our longings are transformed to reflect His heart.

If this man is not your husband, consider whether this relationship is drawing you closer to God or pulling you away. If it is the latter, we urge you to seek godly counsel and to prayerfully consider stepping away. Remember, God’s plans for you are greater than any earthly relationship. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Missing someone you genuinely care about can sit heavy in the daily quiet. We ache with you in that longing, it is not wrong to hope for healing and restored connection when you hold someone dear in your heart. What strikes us about your request is how you are asking for strength and patience while you wait. That is not passive; it is an active, daily trust placed in the hands of a God who sees the whole picture.

Waiting often feels empty, but in God’s economy it is rarely wasted. We have seen many people discover that this in-between season becomes a time when He deepens their own foundations, shaping character, clarifying motives, and drawing them closer to Himself in ways that only prolonged uncertainty can. That does not make the ache disappear, but it can quietly transform it from pain with no purpose into a time of hidden growth. Right now, as you continue to care for him from a distance, you can entrust both your heart and his well-being to the One who loves him more than you do. Sometimes the healthiest next step is simply to release the outcome again each morning and ask, “Lord, what do You want to do in me today?”

We pray with you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this woman and the man she misses. You know every detail of what broke between them, and You hold both of their hearts in Your hands. Please bring Your peace where worry swirls, and guard his health and well-being under Your watchful care. Give her the steady patience and quiet hope that only You can supply, not a frantic waiting, but a settled trust that You are at work even when she cannot see it. If it is Your will, pave a path toward reconciliation in Your right time and Your right way. Until then, be her strong comfort and her daily portion. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your heart speaks of a longing that reaches out into the dark, groping for a hand that is withdrawn. I have seen many such broken affections in my ministry, and I know full well that a spirit crushed by such a breach drips with a sorrow that no earthly surgeon can touch. There is a danger in carrying about a shattered heart, as with a fractured bone, lest the wound fester inward and poison the whole soul. Yet He who sets the stars in their courses and heals the broken in heart has not left you without remedy.

You ask for prayer that God would heal every hurt and open the right door. That is well, but I would have you go further and lay your very desire at His feet, saying, “Not my will, but Thine be done.” Many a soul has made a fair profession and then broken it off with a “but”, “Lord, I will follow Thee, but first let me go and have this one thing mended.” That broken column stands as a memorial to a good intention that never ripened into full surrender. True peace is never spoken to the heart that insists upon dictating the terms of its own reconciliation. If you would have the joy of His healing leaves applied to this inward wound, you must submit yourself entirely to the great Physician.

Think not that the healing will come only when you see the breach repaired. I have known men who, like the lepers in the Gospel, began to walk at Christ’s word while their flesh was yet diseased, and as they went they were made whole. So must you trust Him now, trust Him while the pain is yet sharp and the silence unbroken. Cast your burden upon Him; He is the God of reconciliation, and He has prepared a peace deeper than the mending of any human bond. The Son of God Himself was made sin for us, that we might be reconciled to God, and in that grand work every lesser division finds its only sure hope. Do you trust your soul to an unseen Saviour? Then can you not trust this temporal sorrow to the same pierced hand?

Beware, however, of letting your heart’s wall lie broken down, for then the wild beasts of restless thought and vain speculation will trample your garden. Guard your mind with constant prayer and the promises of Scripture. The very leaves from the Tree of Life, the smallest words that drop from Christ’s lips, carry healing for the thousand ills of our humanity. Soak your soul in them till the fever of impatience abates.

And as you wait, remember that He who binds up the broken-hearted once had His own heart broken on the tree. He knows the pangs of separation, the grief of a love unrequited, the agony of a door shut fast. He will not chide you for your tears, but He will turn them into the wine of a deeper fellowship with Himself. Strength, patience, hope, these are not found by gazing upon the broken column of your earthly hope, but by looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Let your reconciliation with God through Christ be the settled joy of your soul, and then this other matter, whether it ends in reunion or in sweeter solitude with your Lord, shall be well with you. Only trust Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayer that God would heal every hurt and open a door of reconciliation. But consider: faith is shown not in receiving swiftly, but in waiting patiently upon the Giver without despairing. If He promised and you immediately received, where would be the test of your trust? True belief holds fast when the answer tarries, not because you doubt His love, but because you honor His timing. Do not let faintheartedness or impatience rob you of this precious proving of your faith.

Let patience have her perfect work. You miss this man and long to speak with him again; your heart is heavy. Yet this is precisely the moment to endure as Christ endured, not with resentment but with quiet submission to the Father’s will. He endured the cross, despising the shame, and waited for the joy set before Him. So you, in your affliction, show forth a patience firm and immovable. This is not the patience of a few days, but of much time, and it is produced by the Scriptures, which comfort and nerve us. By living in patience we abide in hope, and by hope we are strengthened to endure all things.

I do not know the nature of your bond, whether it is a godly covenant or one that must be surrendered entirely to Christ. But if this relationship can be ordered according to His commands, then trust Him to restore it in His own season, not yours. And if it cannot, trust Him to uproot the longing and fill the void with Himself. In either case, your work is the same: to commit the matter into His hand and wait. Do not run to earthly devices or force a door that He has shut. The earth’s Lord is more worthy of trust than the earth. He who permitted this trial will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it, and in His time bring release.

Pray for patience and humility. Pray that your hope not be anchored in a person’s return, but in the God who raises the dead. When you cease measuring His faithfulness by your present comfort, you will find a peace that surpasses understanding. I will pray that strength, patience, and a trusting heart be granted to you, and that you learn to love Him for Himself alone, whether you receive what you seek or not.

I hear the ache in your words, the longing, the missing, the weight of waiting for a door to open again. That kind of love and care is real, and it often comes with a cost. But there is something God does in seasons like this that goes far deeper than just fixing a situation. He uses them to anchor your soul in a hope that cannot be shaken, a hope that is stronger than any outcome you can see right now.

This is the very purpose of Scripture: to give you patience and comfort so that hope rises. Not a flimsy wish, but a certain expectation built on the character of God. He is the God of patience, the God who is working out His purposes with a long-suffering love you can barely comprehend. When you feel the ache of silence, remember that He is not in a hurry. He is patient to heal, patient to untangle misunderstandings, patient to bring about what only He can. And He calls you to that same patience, not passive resignation, but an active, trusting waiting upon Him.

Hope is that blend of desire and expectation. You desire reconciliation, you desire his well-being and peace, and all of that is precious in God’s sight. But hope anchors those desires in Him, expecting that He will do what is good, even when you cannot trace His hand. The times you do not understand, the places of silence and waiting, are not wasted. They are where real trust is forged. God is glorified when you trust Him not only in the sunshine but in the dark, when you cannot see how things will work out. That kind of trust proves your hope is genuine.

Hold onto this: the hope we have in Christ is a living hope, an anchor for your soul. His promises are sure. He who cannot lie has promised eternal life to all who trust in His Son, and if He has secured your eternity, will He not also carry you through this present ache? The deepest hope is not in a repaired relationship, though you may pray for that, but in the God who has bound Himself to you in Jesus. Let that hope purify your waiting, fill you with joy and peace in believing, and sustain you when your heart feels cast down.

Be solid in faith, solid in love, and solid in patience. Those three are intertwined, and love hopes all things. Keep praying for his health and peace. Keep asking God for wisdom. But do so with your soul anchored, not drifting on the waves of emotion. He is the God of all comfort, and He draws near to the brokenhearted. He will give you strength for today, patience for the waiting, and a hope that does not disappoint. You are not without hope, because you are not without God. Trust Him completely with this, and let Him receive praise for your trust.
