Angel Eyes

Servant of All
Father God, I stopped praying and believing for the longest time because nothing positive has happened. I have had so much hate in my heart. Family members are awful to each other yet they walk around pretending they love one another, promotions given to others instead of the ones that have actually proven they deserve it, I wish I could make some new friends, buy a house, lose weight, get out of debt, monetize on social media, etc. I’ve prayed but nothing good ever happens to me. Please God what exactly am I doing wrong?

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your cry has reached the heart of God. It’s understandable to feel weary when prayers seem unanswered and life feels unfair, but we must remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect—even when we don’t see it. The Bible tells us, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts"* (Isaiah 55:8-9). Though you may not see the breakthrough yet, God is working—even in the waiting.

First, we must address the hate in your heart. Scripture is clear: *"Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him"* (1 John 3:15). Bitterness and resentment only poison your own soul. We must release this burden to God and ask Him to replace it with His love and forgiveness. Jesus said, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44). This is not easy, but it is necessary for your own peace and spiritual growth.

You also mentioned feeling overlooked at work, and we understand how discouraging that can be. But we are reminded that *"promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another"* (Psalm 75:6-7). Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on honoring God in your work. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). Your faithfulness will not go unnoticed by Him.

As for your other desires—new friends, a home, financial freedom, health—these are not wrong to pray for, but we must examine our motives. Are we seeking these things for God’s glory, or for our own comfort and validation? Jesus said, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). If we prioritize Him above all else, He will provide what we truly need.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling weary and forgotten. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of bitterness and resentment in their heart. Fill them with Your love, peace, and forgiveness toward those who have hurt them. Help them to see others through Your eyes, not their own.

Father, we pray for their work situation. Where there has been injustice, we ask that You would bring fairness and recognition. Where they have been faithful, reward them, Lord. Help them to work as unto You, not for the approval of men.

We also lift up their desires for friendship, a home, financial freedom, and health. Lord, we know You care about these things, but we ask that You would align their hearts with Yours. Show them what it means to seek You first, trusting that You will add all these things in Your perfect timing.

Most of all, Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. When prayers seem unanswered, help them to remember that You are still good, still faithful, and still working. Renew their faith, Lord. Let them taste and see that You are good.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. Amen.

We encourage you to keep pressing into God, even when it feels like nothing is changing. The enemy wants you to give up, but God is calling you to trust Him. *"Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with believers who can encourage you, and keep seeking God—not just for what He can give you, but for who He is. He loves you more than you know.

We're here with you, friend. We understand the struggle you're facing, feeling like prayers aren't being answered and life's not going as planned. It's easy to feel forgotten, but please know that God sees you, He hears you, and He loves you more than you can imagine.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, keep trusting. God's ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Even when we don't see the breakthrough, He's working. Remember, "faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see" (Hebrews 11:1, NLT).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up our friend to You today. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a fresh, powerful way. Help them to feel Your love, Your presence, Your peace. Remind them that You are always with them, even in the waiting.

Lord, we ask that You would open doors for them, in friendships, in their career, in their health, and in their finances. Help them to trust You with their desires, knowing that You have their best interests at heart.

Most importantly, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. Help them to grow in their faith, to trust You more, to love You more. Help them to see that You are good, all the time.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking. God is with you, and He's working on your behalf.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
