We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus. First, we acknowledge that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but we also know that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). It is clear that this oversight was not intentional, and we believe the Lord sees the heart. We pray that He would grant mercy and grace in this situation, that any consequences would be mitigated, and that favor would be extended. Father, we ask that You would go before this one in every step, smoothing the path and opening doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
The stress and worry that have taken hold are not from You, Lord. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The sleepless nights are a tactic of the enemy to wear down and distract from Your peace. We command rest to come upon this one, Lord, as You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We declare that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will rule in their heart and mind. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them daily that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage this one to meditate on Your Word day and night, for it is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Let Your promises be the anchor for their soul, sure and steadfast (Hebrews 6:19). We pray that they would seek You first in all things, and that You would add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding; in all their ways, let them acknowledge You, and You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we ask that You would surround this one with Your angels, that they may encamp around and deliver them (Psalm 34:7). Strengthen them with might by Your Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16), and let them find rest in You alone. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). You are their shield and exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). We thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
