Please pray for my job

Disciple of Prayer
I had to resign from my job due to an unhealthy work environment. I am a double PhD and have always been a top performer. Today, I noticed that my dream company has an open position that perfectly matches my skill set. Please pray for me so that I can get this job! Pray that the decision-makers will look upon my application favorably and that everything will work out in my favor. Please pray that I get this job quickly and have the opportunity to start working at my dream company. God bless you all, and thank you so much for your prayers. 🙏

We have heard your request and we are joining together to lift you before the Lord in this season of transition. We understand the difficulty of having to resign from a position because the environment was unhealthy, and we thank God for the gifts and diligence He has given you through your years of study and work. We know He sees your faithfulness as a top performer and we trust He will guide your next steps according to His perfect will.

We want to encourage you to trust not only in your qualifications, though they are significant, but in the Lord who gave them to you. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We are reminded to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. His promise remains, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We also take comfort that when we bring our needs to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that even as you desire this position quickly, you will commit your way to Yahweh and trust also in him, and he will do this Psalm 37:5, resting in His timing which is always better than our own.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you to place your trust in Him, both for eternal life and for daily provision.

We pray together now, Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and we lift this dear one to You. We thank You for the knowledge and skills You have entrusted to them and for protecting them by leading them out of an unhealthy workplace. We ask for Your wisdom as they apply to this position that so closely matches their abilities. Lord, if it is Your will, open the doors that no man can shut, and grant favor in the eyes of the decision makers. Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us, establish the work of our hands for us Psalm 90:17. We pray for peace while waiting, for clarity in each step of the application and interview process, and for provision in the days ahead. Above all, we pray that Your will be done and that this next job would allow them to use their gifts for Your glory and to be a blessing to others. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to prepare your application with excellence as unto the Lord, to seek godly counsel, and to continue in prayer and thanksgiving as God directs your path. We are standing with you, trusting that God who has been faithful will continue to lead you to the place He has prepared for you.

We appreciate you sharing this with us. Stepping away from an unhealthy workplace is not easy, especially when you have worked so hard and carried a strong record as you have. It makes sense this opening feels so hopeful, and we are glad you told us about it.

When work has been a big part of identity, a transition like this can feel disorienting even for a top performer. Your value before God is not measured by a title or an offer letter, and we are praying you can rest in that steadiness while you wait and prepare.

A practical step that often helps in this window is to have one trusted colleague or mentor who knows your field look over your application before you submit it, to help it clearly reflect your experience. It can also help to name the most pressing practical need while you wait, whether that is finances or daily structure, and make a simple plan for the next few weeks so the waiting does not feel so uncertain.

Father, we bring our friend before You and ask for Your guidance in this job search. Give wisdom to those reviewing applications and give peace and clarity in the days ahead. Open the right door in Your will and provide for every need. We trust this to You in Jesus name, amen.

We have received your request and count it a privilege to bring your need before the throne of grace. We understand the weight of having to step away from a place that had become unhealthy, even after much faithful labour and years of diligent preparation, and we understand also the hope that rises when a door appears to open that seems so well suited to the gifts God has entrusted to you.

Take encouragement from the tried servant Job, of whom it is written, in all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, but fell down upon the ground and worshipped. Your extremity is God's opportunity. He who has been your God in the past will certainly be your God in the future, and He knows how to make provision for His people. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, and our longest sorrows have an end when God has accomplished His gracious purpose in them. Whether this present opening is the very provision He has prepared, or whether He has another path for you, you may approach Him in childlike confidence, knowing that He will do what is right and best.

Let us pray together for you.

O gracious Father, we thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We bring this Your servant before You through Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your mercy. You see the need, the waiting, and the desire to use well the gifts You have given. If it be Your will, open the door to this position, grant favour in the eyes of those who will consider the application, and provide work wherein You may be honoured and others may be served. Grant patience to wait upon Your perfect timing and peace to rest upon Your faithful character. Keep this heart from anxiety and teach us to cast all our care upon You, for You care for us. Let Your will be done in this matter, and let Christ be magnified in this life and labour. Supply all need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and establish the work of our hands for Your glory. We ask this in the precious and prevailing name of Jesus our Redeemer and Advocate, Amen.

Be encouraged to continue in prayer and in the Word, looking unto Jesus and leaving the disposal of all events in His wise and loving hands. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies will not forget His own. Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.

We will continue to remember you before the Lord, asking Him to guide your steps and to provide for you according to His perfect wisdom and love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before God with thanksgiving for your heart and your trust in Him.

We thank God for the gifts and diligence He has given you through your years of study and work, and for His care for you in leading you out of an unhealthy environment. We know the disappointment and uncertainty that can come with resigning, even for good reasons, and the hope that rises when a door seems to open. We bring that hope to the Lord and ask for His wisdom and provision.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone is our Savior and our hope. We thank You for this brother or sister, for the talents You have entrusted to them, and for Your faithful care through every season of work and waiting. Lord, You know the desire of their heart for this position at this company, and You know every detail of their application. We ask that You would guide the whole process according to Your perfect will. If this job is where You would have them serve and use their gifts for Your glory and for the good of others, we pray that You would open the doors that no one can shut and grant favor in the eyes of those who review the application. Grant them clarity, peace, and patience as they wait, and provide for every need according to Your riches in Christ. Above all, let Your will be done, and let them know more deeply that their worth and identity are secure in You, not in any position or title. Help them to work heartily as unto You wherever You place them, and to keep their heart guarded in Your peace. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily, to commit your work and your future into His hands, and to trust that He who sees in secret will guide your steps. He is faithful to lead those who seek Him, and He often uses times of waiting to strengthen faith and to prepare us for what is ahead. Keep praying, keep watching for how He is working, and keep using the gifts He has given you to serve Him where you are now.

May the Lord grant you peace that passes understanding, provide for you, and direct your path. We will continue to remember you in prayer.

Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to pray with you. Leaving an unhealthy work environment is a difficult and often painful decision, and it is understandable to feel both relief and uncertainty as you now wait and look ahead. We are praying for you in this season.

Your situation brings to mind the story of Job. Scripture pulls back the curtain to show something Job and his friends could not see, that there was a conversation in heaven concerning him. God Himself spoke of Job as a man who was upright, who loved God and turned away from evil. The adversary had been watching Job closely and had formed his own explanation, that Job only honored God because God had placed a hedge of blessing around him and given him so much. When that blessing was removed, the adversary was sure Job would turn away.

Job did not understand why all of this was happening to him, and his friends did not understand either. They came intending to comfort him, but when they saw the depth of his suffering they instead accused him, insisting he must have done something wrong to deserve it, that he must be hiding sin or hypocrisy. Job maintained his integrity, yet he also openly wrestled with God, saying he did not understand His ways. What Job said in his grief was an honest cry, not settled doctrine about God or about life after death. Scripture faithfully records his words, but we are not to build our understanding of eternity on the words of a suffering man. We are to see in Job a man who was honest about his pain while still holding to the truth that God is fair and just.

That story has remained so meaningful because although cultures and times have changed, the deepest questions of the human heart have not. We still ask why hardship comes, we still wrestle when we cannot trace God's hand, and we still need comfort when it feels as though God has stepped away. One of the great comforts of Job is this, that God is working even when it appears He has forsaken us. His care and His purposes continue even in the silence and the waiting. And Job's cry for someone who could stand between him and God, who could lay a hand on both and bring him near, finds its answer in Jesus Christ, who alone brings us to God.

We want to encourage you with that same truth. Your degrees and your record as a top performer reflect diligence and gifts God has given you, but your worth before Him is not measured by a title or a position. He sees the heart that seeks to walk uprightly before Him, and He knows the cost of choosing to step away from a harmful environment. He also sees this present need and the desire you have for this opportunity that seems so well suited to you. It is right to ask Him for open doors and for favor.

We are praying that God will give you wisdom and peace as you apply, that He will guide the hearts of those who review your application, and that He will provide for you according to His perfect will. If this position at the company you hope for is where He wants to plant you for good, we pray He will make that clear and open the way. If He has something else that will be better for you and for His purposes, we pray He will close this door gently and lead you to that place, and that you will have grace to trust Him either way. Above all we pray you will experience His nearness now, knowing that He has not forgotten you in this time of transition, and that you will rest in Jesus, who is our mediator and who makes a way for us to come confidently to the Father.

May the Lord strengthen you with patience and hope as you wait on Him, and may He show you His faithful provision day by day.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting you up concerning your job situation and the need to resign due to the unhealthy work environment and we have been praying for the open position at your dream company that perfectly matches your skill set. We thank God for the gifts and training He has given you as a double PhD and for your history as a top performer and we have asked the Lord to cause the decision makers to look upon your application with favor and to work all things out for your good and to open this door quickly if it is His will for you. We pray that you will know His peace and provision while you wait and that He will guide your steps clearly. We stand on Proverbs 16:3 and Col 3:23 as we bring your request before Him.

If your request was answered and you have received good news regarding this application please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord will lead you to the place where you can use your talents for His glory and provide for your needs according to His riches. In Jesus Name we pray Amen.
