Disciple of Prayer
My life! Please pray for us. We have lived next door to a semi detached house that is a rental has always been a total nightmare. We now have a new rental and it is the same again. I believe lord Jesus is telling us to leave and be happy. I live in our house and feel anxious all the time. I feel I cannot enjoy my family. The problem we have is my parents moved in with us temporarily four years ago until they found their perfect last home. Unfortunately in this time my dad was diagnosed with cancer and my mum had a fall in our house that led her breaking her shoulder in four places. Now they are fit to look for their last home but in this time there sale money from their house is still available but houses prices it feels have gone out of their reach. It is very difficult. I know I should not pray for a lottery win but it would help us all. I ask for your prayers for a way out! I feel if I stay here much longer my mental health will be deeply affected. Please lord Jesus help us find a way

We hear the deep burden in your heart, and we join you in lifting this heavy weight before the Lord, for He cares for you and knows the struggles you face. Your anxiety, the stress of your living situation, and the challenges with your parents’ housing are not unseen by Him. The Lord is faithful, and He promises to provide a way where there seems to be no way. Let us first address the foundation of your request: you mentioned the name of Jesus, and that is where our hope lies. It is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing He intercedes for us. As Scripture reminds us, *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). Your trust in Jesus is your anchor in this storm, and we cling to that truth together.

The constant turmoil from your neighbors is a trial that has worn on you for far too long. The Lord does not intend for His children to live in perpetual distress, and if He is indeed leading you to move, we pray for His clear direction and provision. Anxiety is a real and heavy burden, but Scripture commands us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). We rebuke this spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus and declare that His peace, which transcends all understanding, will flood your heart and home. You *can* enjoy your family, for the Lord desires to restore joy to you even in this season of waiting.

Your parents’ situation is also deeply concerning, and we lift them before the Lord, asking for His healing touch to remain upon them. The delay in finding a suitable home for them is frustrating, but we must trust that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). It is tempting to look for quick solutions—like a lottery win—but our hope is not in chance or worldly wealth. Our hope is in the Lord, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray that He would open doors that no man can shut, providing a home for your parents that is within their means and a place of peace for your entire family.

As for the idea of praying for a lottery win, we gently but firmly remind you that Scripture warns against placing our trust in riches or seeking gain through means that are not of the Lord. *"Those who desire to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:9-10, WEB). Instead, we pray for the Lord’s *wise* provision—whether through a miraculous sale, a perfectly timed opportunity, or creative solutions you haven’t yet considered. His ways are higher than ours, and His provision is always better than what we could imagine.

We also sense the Lord speaking to the deeper issue of your mental health. It is not selfish to acknowledge that your current environment is harmful to your well-being. The Lord does not call you to remain in a place that is breaking you down. If He is indeed leading you to leave, we pray for the courage to obey, even when the path isn’t yet clear. *"Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1, WEB). He will make a way for you and your family to step into freedom and peace.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister and her family. Lord, You see the exhaustion, the anxiety, and the weight of these burdens they carry. You know the sleepless nights and the fear that has taken root. We ask You, Father, to move in power on their behalf. Open doors for a new home—a place of refuge, peace, and restoration. Provide for their parents in a way that only You can, Lord. Let Your favor rest upon them as they search, and let Your wisdom guide every decision.

We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that has plagued this home. In the name of Jesus, we command it to leave and declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds. Lord, restore joy to this family. Let them taste Your goodness even in the waiting.

Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in the sale of their parents’ home and the search for a new one. If it is Your will for them to move, make the path clear. Provide the finances, the right connections, and the perfect timing. And if there is hesitation or fear holding them back, give them the faith to step out in obedience.

We also lift up the issue of the troublesome neighbors. Lord, either change their hearts or remove this family from their influence. Protect them from further distress and surround them with Your angels.

Lastly, Father, we pray for this sister’s mental health. Heal the wounds that this season has caused. Strengthen her mind and spirit, and let her know that You are near to the brokenhearted. Remind her that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You are working all things together for their good. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear sister. The Lord has not forgotten you. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and watch for His hand to move. He is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming.

Dear friend, we're right there with you, feeling the weight of your situation. It's like you're carrying a heavy backpack, and we want to help you take some of that load off. We understand that you're feeling anxious and trapped in your current living situation, and we're here to remind you that you're not alone. We're lifting you up in prayer, just as you've asked.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord. He sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you in the midst of this storm. We're also praying for your parents. We ask the Lord to heal your dad and give your mom strength as she recovers. We trust that God has a perfect home for them, and we pray that He would open the right doors at the right time. We believe that He will provide, even if it doesn't look like we expect.

As for your neighbors, we pray that the Lord would either change their hearts or move you away from their influence. We ask for His protection over you and your family, and we declare that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your hearts and minds.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord. He's your refuge and your strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Trust in Him, and He will help you overcome this anxiety. He's working everything together for your good, even when it's hard to see.

Keep holding on, dear friend. We're praying for you, and we believe that God is going to come through for you in a big way. Trust in Him, and don't give up hope. Your breakthrough is coming.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your family before the Father in prayer these past few days. Your heartfelt request has weighed heavily on us, and we’ve continued to seek God’s peace, provision, and clear direction for you in this season of overwhelming stress and uncertainty. The burden of caring for your parents while navigating the challenges of your living situation is not lost on us—we know this has been a long, exhausting road, and we’ve asked the Lord to wrap you in His comfort and strength as you wait for His timing.

We’re especially praying for wisdom as you consider the possibility of moving, that God would make the path undeniably clear if that is His will. We’ve asked Him to open doors that no man can shut, whether through unexpected financial provision, the perfect home becoming available for your parents, or even a miraculous shift in your current circumstances that brings restoration to your peace of mind. The anxiety you’re carrying is real, and we’ve pleaded with the Lord to replace it with His supernatural calm, reminding you that He sees your sacrifices and has not forgotten your family.

If God has begun to answer—whether through a breakthrough, a sense of His presence in the waiting, or even small steps forward—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the encouragement someone else needs today. But if the weight still feels heavy and the answers haven’t come, please don’t hesitate to post again. We are here to stand with you for as long as it takes, believing that God is working even when we can’t yet see it.

In the meantime, we’re declaring Isaiah 41:10 over you: *"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."* May you feel His nearness in tangible ways this week, and may He provide in ways that leave no doubt it was His hand at work.

We’re still praying in Jesus’ name.
