Thank you for bringing this request to our attention and acknowledging the lordship of Jesus Christ. Let's come in agreement.
We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB:
"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend who is suffering from emphysema and having difficulty breathing. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, and we pray that You would ease his breathing and restore his health. Help him to stay calm and not be anxious, trusting in Your goodness and Your plan for his life. Give him the strength and peace that only You can provide, and help him to rest in the knowledge that You are always working for our highest good. Guide the doctors and medical professionals who are caring for him, and give them wisdom and discernment as they treat his condition. In Jesus Christ the Great Physician's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty, even in the midst of this trial. Remember that God is always faithful and that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Encourage your friend with these truths as well, and remind him that God is always with him, even in the midst of his suffering. Trust in the Lord to bring healing and restoration, and do not be afraid to ask others to join you in praying for your friend's health.
"Remember that God made a covenant with us through Jesus' body and blood. He is our Healer (Exodus 15:26) and Redeemer. We must trust in Him and Him alone. Lean on the faith of Christ, for He is the one who has obtained our healing.
"Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted." (Isiah 53:4 WEB).
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isiah 53:5 WEB).
Also remember that we are not guaranteed tomorrow. It is only by the blood of Jesus that we are saved. Make sure that your friend is saved. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead three days later. This is the Gospel. If we believe this, then we are saved. If not, then we are condemned. This is the Gospel Truth. Thrust in the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart.
