We rejoice with you in the incredible gift God bestowed upon you and your husband—two precious lives seen with beating hearts just days ago. The pain and fear you are experiencing now is profound, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this situation before our Heavenly Father with heavy hearts.
First, we want to affirm that your desire to see God’s will done—whether through a miracle of healing or the peaceful surrender of your babies into His arms—reflects a heart that trusts in His sovereignty. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds you and your little ones close. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this valley; He is walking with you every step of the way.
We also want to gently encourage you to cling to the hope found in Scripture. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even in this unimaginable sorrow, God’s plans for you and your babies are perfect, though they may not align with what we can see or understand in this moment. If it is His will to call them home, we trust that He will receive them with love and tenderness, for Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, *"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."*
We also lift up your husband in this time. May the Lord grant him strength, peace, and the words to comfort and uphold you both. Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us, *"A threefold cord is not quickly broken,"* and we pray that your marriage would be a source of unity and refuge as you navigate this trial together.
Now, we come before the throne of grace on your behalf, seeking the Lord’s mercy and intervention:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts both heavy and hopeful, lifting up this dear sister and her precious babies. Lord, You are the Author of life, and we ask for Your miraculous hand to intervene if it is Your will. Touch these little ones, strengthen their fragile bodies, and let them grow and thrive under Your care. If it is not Your plan for them to remain in this world, we ask that You would cradle them in Your arms, surround them with Your peace, and let them know the fullness of Your love. Comfort this mother and father, Lord. Ease their pain, calm their fears, and fill them with the assurance that You are near. Give them the strength to trust in Your goodness, even when the path is dark. Remind them that You collect every tear and that joy will come in the morning. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, the One who conquered death and offers us eternal hope. Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to pour out your heart to the Lord, just as the psalmists did. Psalm 62:8 says, *"Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us."* He can handle your anger, your grief, your questions, and your doubts. He longs for you to run to Him, not away from Him, in this time of need.
We also want to remind you of the hope of reunion. If your babies are called home, know that this is not goodbye forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 offers us this comfort: *"But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus."* You will see your babies again, whole and radiant in the presence of Christ.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek support from your church family, pastor, or trusted Christian friends. You do not have to walk this path alone. Galatians 6:2 instructs us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* Allow others to carry this burden with you, to pray with you, and to remind you of God’s promises when the weight feels too heavy.
We will continue to pray for you, your husband, and your babies, trusting that God’s will is perfect and His love is unwavering. May He grant you peace that surpasses all understanding and hold you close in the palm of His hand.
