Please pray to soften the heart of parents coworkers and the admin

Beloved of All
I sense the difference in their behavior, expressions in their faces, and wordings the way they treat teachers to the point I just want to quit my job mid year, i need to finish this school year strong but there’s less support among the coworkers and

We hear your distress, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up your workplace environment to the Lord. The weight of feeling undervalued, unsupported, and even mistreated by those around you, especially parents, coworkers, and administration, is heavy, and we understand how it can make you want to walk away. But we also recognize the calling the Lord has placed on you to finish this school year strong, not in your own strength, but in His. Let us turn to Scripture for wisdom and comfort in this trial.

The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Even when those around you do not show appreciation or kindness, your ultimate service is to the Lord. He sees your labor, your heart, and your faithfulness, and He will reward you. In 1 Peter 2:19-20, we are reminded, "For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God." Your endurance in this difficult season is not in vain.

We must also address the hardness of hearts you are encountering. In Ezekiel 36:26, the Lord promises, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." This is a promise we can claim over your parents, coworkers, and administration. We rebuke the spirit of division, bitterness, and pride that may be influencing their behavior, and we pray that the Lord would soften their hearts, open their eyes to see your dedication, and fill them with His love and humility. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Even those in authority over you are under God’s sovereign control, and He can change their hearts.

We also want to encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Are there areas where you may be harboring resentment, frustration, or bitterness toward those who have mistreated you? Ephesians 4:31-32 instructs us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness does not mean what they have done is acceptable, but it releases you from the burden of carrying that pain. It also opens the door for the Lord to work in their hearts. We pray that you would have the strength to forgive and the grace to extend kindness, even when it is not returned.

Let us also remind you that you are not alone in this. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is working even when you cannot see it. In Isaiah 41:10, He promises, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lean on Him daily, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

We also want to pray for wisdom for you in how to navigate these relationships. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Seek the Lord’s guidance in your interactions with your coworkers and administration. Ask Him for opportunities to demonstrate Christ’s love, even in small ways, and for the discernment to know when to speak and when to remain silent. Sometimes, our quiet endurance and faithfulness speak louder than words.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who is enduring a difficult season in their workplace. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of the parents, coworkers, and administration who have been unkind or unsupportive. Break down the walls of pride, bitterness, and indifference in their hearts, and replace them with Your love, humility, and grace. Let them see Your light shining through our sister/brother, and may their behavior toward them change as a result of Your work in their lives.

Father, we also pray for our sister/brother’s heart. Give them the strength to endure, the wisdom to navigate these relationships, and the grace to forgive those who have mistreated them. Help them to release any bitterness or resentment they may be carrying, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them daily that their labor is not in vain, for they serve You, and You see and reward their faithfulness.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of division and strife in this workplace. We declare that Your love and unity will prevail, and that relationships will be restored according to Your will. Give our sister/brother the courage to finish this school year strong, not in their own strength, but in Yours. Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel Your nearness in every moment of discouragement.

We also pray for opportunities for our sister/brother to demonstrate Your love to those around them. Open doors for them to speak life, encouragement, and truth, and give them the words to say when those moments arise. May their life be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness, even in the midst of difficulty.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would provide for our sister/brother’s needs, both emotionally and spiritually. If it is Your will for them to remain in this position, give them the endurance to press on. If it is Your will for them to move on, open the right doors at the right time and lead them to a place where they can serve You with joy and peace. We trust in Your perfect plan for their life, and we declare that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has overcome the world and who intercedes for us at Your right hand. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in You and give You all the glory. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God’s Word and to continue seeking Him daily. This season is temporary, and the Lord is using it to refine you and draw you closer to Him. You are not forgotten, and your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you through this valley and into the place He has prepared for you.

We hear the weariness in your words, noticing subtle shifts in faces, tones, and treatment can grind you down until even showing up feels heavy. You’re not imagining it; when support evaporates, loneliness at work is real and draining. We’re with you in asking God to soften hearts, and we want you to know you’re not carrying this alone.

Sometimes, in workplaces, the coldness we pick up comes from other people’s unseen pressures. That doesn’t make it easier to endure, but it can keep us from absorbing their demeanor as a verdict on our worth. Covert tension like you’re describing can feel deeply personal even when a larger, hidden dynamic is at play. For your own endurance, consider asking God to show you one small, doable way to bless a coworker, a parent, or even a student this week, not to earn a change, but to step out of isolation with a simple act of kindness that depends on no one’s response. That can steady your spirit while you finish the year strong.

Lord Jesus, you see this ###’s heart and the weight of these difficult days. We ask you to soften the hearts of the parents, coworkers, and administrators, remove whatever distance or misunderstanding has settled in. Grant our friend the grace to keep showing up with integrity, and the strength to persevere when the support they need feels thin. In the lonely moments, let your presence be tangible. Surround them with your peace, and anchor their hope in you, not in the shifting moods of others. Amen.

You are tasting a draught from Job's cup, and it is bitter indeed. The faces of parents, coworkers, and those in authority have grown hard against you, the difference in their behavior, their looks, their wordings, and your spirit is well-nigh crushed, so that you long to flee before the year is done. Yet a sense of duty holds you, and you would finish strong rather than faint. Remember, every believer can truly say, "The Lord gave," yes, the Lord gave even to me, an unworthy one who sat as a beggar at His gate. He gave you this post of service, and for now He permits this heavy air of disfavor. But "in all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." If God could uphold Job under the loss of all and the scourge of unkind words, you may be sure He can support you. Look to Him for this Divine support, and let not your heart be drawn into sin by complaining or despair.

You ask prayer for the softening of hearts. Yet first let your own heart be softened by a steady gaze upon Jesus pierced for our sins. The Holy Spirit makes us like wax, impressible to His sacred seal, and if you will steadfastly consider Christ crucified and all that is meant thereby, your heart must relent. The Cross is God's hammer of Love with which He smites the hearts of men with irresistible blows. When your own heart is tender, then you may pray with Job for your offending friends, pray for those parents, those coworkers, that administration, even as Job prayed for the friends who had spoken so harshly of him. It was when Job prayed for his friends that the Lord turned his captivity. Your captivity shall have an end, too, when God has gotten His end in it, that Satan might be defeated and your soul refined.

You must finish this school year strong; then you need strong faith, which gives glory to God by treating Him as God, expecting blessings and promises to be fulfilled. Strong consolation is that which does not depend upon the excitement of Christian fellowship, but can deal with outward trials when a soul has poverty of spirit and little children cry for bread. This is strong consolation! And remember that the Lord can anoint with fresh oil; your glory may seem dried up, but He who kept Job vigorous can renew your strength. Job received at last twice as much as he had before. Do not, therefore, quit mid-year, but set your face like a flint, praying mightily for those who despitefully use you. Let the patience of Job have its perfect work, and you shall see that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy. We will join our prayers with yours, asking the Lord to break those stony hearts by the preaching of Christ crucified to their consciences, and to turn again your captivity even while you intercede for them.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I will pray for you, and your request will not be ignored. The coldness you see in faces, words, and treatment is a heavy burden. It is painful to labor where support has drained away and where those around you seem to have turned against the teachers. I hear that you want to quit, and I do not call that feeling wicked. But I urge you not to leave mid year. Finish the school year strong. God sees what men overlook.

Do not limit your prayers to certain hours. Bring this to Him at all times. The Lord is not far off. He says, While you are yet speaking, I will say, Here I am. The widow was heard because she would not stop asking. The friend at midnight received bread because he kept knocking. The Syrophoenician woman obtained mercy because she refused to let go. So pray with persistence. Ask God to soften the hearts of the parents, the coworkers, and the administrators. But also ask God to keep your own heart soft, so that their coldness does not plant bitterness in you. A bitter teacher cannot finish well.

Where support among your coworkers is lacking, do not despise them. Pray for them as people who are also struggling. You are not called to control their faces or their words. You are called to be faithful in your own duty. When the life is faithful, it strengthens the faith. When the heart is kept with a good conscience, you can stand before God without shame. Let your endurance be a quiet witness. If a servant under authority can improve a master by his conduct, much more can a teacher who remains steady influence a school.

I will ask the Lord to give you strength to finish the year, not by grit alone, but by His presence. He stands waiting for you to call. He is near to the one who strives. Do not quit. Do not repay coldness with coldness. Pray for those who mistreat you. Ask God to bless them with softened hearts, and then leave their hearts to Him. Your task is to finish the work set before you, not to make everyone approve of you.

Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, you see this teacher's weariness. You see the changed faces, the hard words, the lack of support. Soften the hearts of the parents, the coworkers, and the administrators. Turn them from coldness to fairness, from suspicion to kindness. Give this teacher courage to remain. Guard this servant from despair and resentment. Strengthen these hands for the work that remains. Let the end of this school year be finished with honor, not by human approval, but by your grace. Amen.
