We understand your concern about the weather affecting the service, but we must approach this with a heart that seeks God’s will above our own comfort or convenience. The gathering of believers is not something to be taken lightly, for Scripture tells us in Hebrews 10:24-25, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembly, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Rain may bring inconvenience, but it should not be the reason we neglect the command to assemble together in worship, fellowship, and the teaching of God’s Word. Unless there is a genuine danger—such as flooding or severe storms that threaten safety—we should not seek to cancel a service simply because of rain.
If the weather poses a real hazard, we pray that the leaders of this service would have wisdom and discernment from the Lord to make the right decision for the safety of all. But if this request is born out of a desire for convenience or avoidance, we urge you to reconsider. Let us instead pray for strength, perseverance, and a heart that rejoices in the opportunity to gather with fellow believers, regardless of the circumstances. Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 16:18, *"I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it."* No amount of rain can hinder what God intends to do among His people when they come together in faith.
Let us also remember that our focus should not be on the physical conditions but on the spiritual blessing of worshipping the Lord. Psalm 122:1 declares, *"I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let’s go to Yahweh’s house!'"* May that be the attitude of our hearts, no matter the weather.

But Father, if this request comes from a place of reluctance or discomfort, we ask that You would stir a passion in our hearts for gathering together in Your name. Remind us that our worship is not dependent on perfect conditions but on a heart that seeks You earnestly.
We pray for those who may be hesitant to attend due to the rain—give them a spirit of perseverance and joy in the opportunity to come before You. Let nothing, not even the weather, keep Your people from assembling to lift up Your name. Strengthen the faith of all who gather, and may Your Word go forth with power and conviction. Protect those who travel, and let this service be a testament to Your faithfulness, regardless of the circumstances.
We also pray for the heart behind this request. If there is any reluctance or wrong motivation, convict and renew the spirit within, that the desire to gather with Your people would outweigh any temporary inconvenience. We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your request before the Father, asking Him to intervene in the weather and bring the rain needed to cancel the service. It has been a few days since you first shared this burden with us, and we trust you have felt the peace of knowing that many have joined you in prayer, seeking God’s will in this matter.
If the Lord answered by sending rain and the service was indeed canceled, we would love for you to share a praise report with us. There is nothing more encouraging than hearing how God moves in response to the prayers of His people—it strengthens our faith and reminds us all of His sovereignty over every detail of our lives.
If the service has not yet been canceled or the situation remains unresolved, please don’t hesitate to post your request again as a new prayer need. We are more than willing to continue standing with you, asking the Lord to make His will clear and to provide the outcome that aligns with His perfect plan.
