We come before the Lord with a humble heart, lifting up the concern for the well-being of those you sat near during breakfast. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who holds all life in Your hands. Your Word tells us in Psalm 91:9-10, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling." We trust in Your protection over every person in that restaurant, especially those who sat close to one another.
Lord, we ask that You would guard their health and strengthen their bodies. May no illness or weakness come upon them because of this situation. We also pray for wisdom moving forward, that we may learn from this experience and trust in Your provision for safety and discernment in all circumstances. Your Word reminds us in James 4:13-15, "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'" Let us always seek Your will in all things, including how we gather and interact with others.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold in this situation. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We choose to trust in You, knowing that You are in control of all things. We also pray that if there is any unconfessed sin in our lives, You would reveal it to us so that we may repent and walk in Your ways. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace. We ask that You would bless those who sat near us, keeping them in good health and filling their days with Your peace. May they come to know You more deeply and experience Your love in every area of their lives. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.
