We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of back pain and the deeper disease affecting this dear sister. Father, Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We stand on this promise, believing that You see her suffering and are mighty to heal. Jesus walked this earth healing the sick, the lame, and the afflicted, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We ask, Lord, that You stretch forth Your healing hand and bring complete restoration to her body.
We also recognize that physical affliction can weigh heavily on the spirit. In James 5:14-15, You instruct us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We pray this prayer of faith now, trusting that You will raise her up from this pain and disease. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her feel Your presence carrying her through each moment.
Father, we also ask that You reveal any spiritual or emotional roots that may be connected to this illness. Sometimes our bodies bear the weight of unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or hidden burdens. Search her heart, Lord, and bring to light anything that needs to be surrendered to You. Psalm 139:23-24 says, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way." We pray for repentance, cleansing, and renewal where it is needed.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus Christ, for Your Word declares in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will in any way hurt you." We command this pain and disease to leave her body now, in Jesus' mighty name. Let her experience the freedom and wholeness that Christ died to give her.
Lastly, we pray for wisdom for her doctors and caregivers. Guide their hands and minds as they seek to treat her, and let them be instruments of Your healing power. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). May she rise up in strength and testify to Your glory. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
