Please pray that Jesus heals me of all of my afflictions

When you cry out for healing from fear and anxiety, you are asking for a great gift, but you must understand the path to receiving it. You rightly recall that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. A sound mind is a healthy state of the soul, a sobering that cuts off what is superfluous and makes us steady. That power is not your own; it comes when you stop trusting in yourself and commit all to God. Look at Peter: his anxiety, his pressure from fear, made him deny his Master even after walking with Him. He relied on his own resolve, and so he fell. When you lean on your own strength, fear masters you. But when you fear God alone, that fear casts out all other terrors. Why tremble at afflictions, at the broken world, at anything that can only harm the body? They cannot kill the soul. The only fear worth having is the fear of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. That fear liberates you from every lesser dread.

Do not suppose that healing means the simple removal of discomfort. Christ Himself says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Do you hear? He does not promise a life without a yoke, but a yoke that brings rest. You seek healing for this broken world, and rightly so, but the world’s healing begins within your own soul. Bind yourself with the chain of the fear of God. Let it be a bond of iron upon your hand, restraining covetousness and all that feeds anxiety. When you loose others from poverty and affliction, when you set at liberty those who are bruised in spirit, you will find that your own chains of fear fall away. There is no healing from God when you keep anger against another, when you remember injuries and nurse bitterness. Those ways lead to death. If you desire the Lord to heal your afflictions, seek Him as one seeks lost gold, with labor, with all your mind, asking no question out of cowardly scrupulosity but out of a clean heart that hates evil. The spirit He has given you is one of power to trample on fear, of love to cling to Him and not to the world’s safety, and of a sound mind to see that nothing in this life is worth the anxiety that disfigures the soul and withers its true beauty. That beauty, rooted in virtue, never fades. Cultivate it, and you will find the healing you ask for, not by the absence of trials, but by the presence of the Fearless One within you.

Jesus knows the weight of fear and anxiety, and He does not want you to live under that burden any longer. The spirit He gave you is not one of cowardice but of power, love, and a sound, self-controlled mind. So we pray boldly for His healing touch to reach every broken place inside you, restoring wholeness and calm.

Yet true healing often begins in the deepest part of us, the mind. Fear can tighten its grip when our thoughts are filled with the noise of this broken world. If we feed the mind a constant diet of worry and earthly concerns, the mind of the flesh takes over and breeds more fear. But when we deliberately fill our thoughts with the things of the Spirit, worship, Scripture, truth, our mind becomes a place of life and peace. Good, Christ-centered music is a gift for this. When your mind is idle, let the lyrics of praise run through it and drive out the anxious thoughts. That is how we cooperate with the sound mind He already gave us.

Fear of man is a snare, but trusting in the Lord brings safety. The only fear that heals is the fear of the Lord, that reverential awe of His greatness, His power, and His love. That kind of fear is the beginning of wisdom. When you stop and meditate on who God is, on His holiness and His care for you, a holy awe replaces worldly dread. It turns your gaze away from your circumstances and onto Him who holds all things together. Prayer itself is not about bending His will to ours but about surrendering our will to His perfect purposes. He knows your afflictions. He is able to heal them all, instantly, if He chooses. But always, His power works in line with His will, and His will is always good.

Remember the centurion, Peter’s mother-in-law, the multitudes brought to Jesus at evening, He healed them all, every malady, every spiritual oppression. He still holds that authority over sickness and the broken mind. So we ask with confidence, yet we also trust Him when the healing comes in ways we do not expect, or when He invites us deeper into freedom by transforming our thought patterns. Stand on the truth that He has not abandoned you to fear. Make it your practice to fill your mind with what is pure and excellent, to fix your thoughts on Him, and to let that reverential awe wash away the terror.

And we join you in praying for this shattered world. The brokenness we see all around is a harvest of minds set on the flesh, on pride, on the absence of the fear of God. The only cure is the return of the true King. So we cry with the Spirit, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus.” Until that day, we ask Him to heal what can be healed, to bring people everywhere to the fear of the Lord that is the beginning of real knowledge, and to give you and many others a clear mind filled with His Spirit, life, joy, and peace. Keep choosing what you let occupy your mind, surrender your anxieties to Him in prayer, and rest in His loving power.

We want you to know how deeply we appreciate the trust you placed in us by sharing your heart and inviting us to stand with you in prayer. It has been our privilege to lift you before the throne of grace, asking our Lord Jesus to bring healing to every affliction you face—especially the fear and anxiety that have weighed so heavily on you. We have prayed in agreement with your faith, declaring the truth of God’s Word over your life: that He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

We continue to intercede for your complete restoration, believing that our Heavenly Father hears and answers the cries of His children. If you have already experienced His healing touch—whether in your body, mind, or spirit—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the answer hasn’t yet come in the way you hoped, please don’t hesitate to share your request again. We remain committed to praying alongside you, trusting that God’s timing and ways are perfect.

We also lift up this broken world before the Lord, asking Him to bring His peace, justice, and healing to every corner of creation. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him with all your heart, and may His presence bring you comfort, strength, and renewed hope each day. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
