Please pray that I understand and know that God loves me.

We hear your heart’s cry, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with great compassion. The longing to know and feel the love of God is one of the deepest desires of the human soul, and we stand with you in seeking His truth and presence.

First, let us remind you that God’s love for you is not based on your performance, your feelings, or your circumstances. It is an unchanging, eternal reality rooted in who He is. The Scriptures declare, *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"* (Romans 5:8 WEB). His love was demonstrated most powerfully at the cross, where Jesus bore the weight of your sins so that you could be reconciled to the Father. If you ever doubt His love, look to the cross—there is no greater proof.

We also encourage you to meditate on these truths:
*"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from God’s love, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 8:38-39 WEB). Nothing in all creation can separate you from His love. Not your past, not your mistakes, not even your doubts.

*"See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God!"* (1 John 3:1 WEB). You are not just a creation of God—you are His beloved child. He delights in you, knows you intimately, and calls you by name.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who made a way for us to know You and be known by You. Lord, we lift up our dear brother/sister who is seeking to understand and feel Your love. We ask that You would open their eyes to see the depth, height, and width of Your love for them. Remove any lies of the enemy that have tried to convince them they are unloved or unworthy. Replace those lies with the truth of Your Word.

Father, we pray that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them, filling them with the assurance of Your love. Let them experience Your presence in a tangible way—through Your Word, through worship, through the fellowship of believers, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You are for them, not against them, and that nothing can separate them from Your love.

Lord, if there are areas of sin, unforgiveness, or bitterness in their heart that are hindering their ability to receive Your love, we ask that You would reveal those things and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a place of intimacy with You. Remind them that Your love is not conditional—it is freely given to those who seek You with a humble heart.

We declare over them today that they are deeply loved by You. May they walk in the confidence of that love, knowing that they are chosen, cherished, and held securely in Your hands. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them taste and see that You are good.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to gently share with you that it is only through Him that we can truly know and experience the love of God. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). If you would like to receive Jesus into your heart and begin a personal relationship with Him, we encourage you to pray a simple prayer like this:

*"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn away from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to live for You. Thank You for loving me and giving me eternal life. In Your name, I pray. Amen."*

If you prayed that prayer for the first time, we rejoice with you! We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith, be baptized, and fellowship with other believers. The journey of knowing God’s love is one that deepens over time, and we are so grateful you have taken this step.

Continue to seek Him through prayer, reading His Word, and surrounding yourself with godly community. His love for you is steadfast and sure—rest in that truth today.

We're right there with you, friend, seeking to understand and feel God's love more deeply. It's like trying to grasp the vastness of the ocean with our hands - we know it's there, we've tasted its salt, but fully understanding its depth and width is beyond us. But that's okay, because God's love isn't something we can fully comprehend with our human minds. It's bigger, wider, and deeper than we could ever imagine.

Let's remind ourselves together of a truth we can hold onto: "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." (1 John 4:16 NIV). This love isn't something we earn or lose based on our performance. It's a gift, freely given to us through Jesus Christ.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, seeking to understand and feel Your love more deeply. Help us to grasp, even just a little more, the width, length, height, and depth of Your love for us. (Ephesians 3:18-19)

Lord, help us to silence the lies that tell us we're not good enough, not loved enough. Replace those lies with the truth of Your Word. Let us feel Your love in tangible ways - through Your Word, through worship, through fellowship, and through the gentle whisper of Your Holy Spirit.

If there's anything in our hearts that's blocking us from receiving Your love, Lord, reveal it to us. Help us to repent and turn away from it. Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus and restore us to a place of intimacy with You.

We declare over ourselves today that we are deeply loved by You. We choose to walk in the confidence of that love, knowing that we are chosen, cherished, and held securely in Your hands.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's keep seeking Him, friend. His love is steadfast and sure, and it's a journey we get to walk together.

Please pray that I understand and know that God loves me.
I pray that the Lord hears your yearning to be close to Him and that you are able to appreciate and accept and come into agreement with the understanding and the Truth that you have a Father in Heaven who LOVES YOU. He loves you and He wants you to love Him. It can be so painful and so difficult navigating the ways of this world and that is by design, we are put through tests and suffering can cause us to question the reason for us being here at all, but hear me when I say this, my sibling in Christ you are not here for no reason. When God made this world, and when God put you in this world, He did it on purpose. He didn’t need any of us. He wanted us here. We have a job to do here on earth we have gifts that He gave us and so many of us have to go through so many storms in order to see how still the sky is above the clouds raining down on us. It is not easy to believe that we are loved when we are made to believe by the ways of this world, and those who we are around and all that happens to us act as an example of what we are told we deserve. Don’t believe anything in the world. The enemy runs the world in the enemy is a liar. Any thought you have that provoke fear or confusion is not of God. Any doubt you have in yourself that makes you feel any less than lovable is not of God. He does not want you to feel unloved. He does not want you to feel as though you are not worthy of love. It is a fight to get through the way the world conditions us, but when we seek God and we tell Him that we’re ready to come, He hears us. He hears us and he answers our prayers often if not, always in ways that we would never expect Him to.

“ God always answers our prayers. They’re just barely the answer for looking for.”

It can be a challenge to grapple with, but you are so loved. Love, the feeling itself is a gift that God gave us. We wouldn’t know what it meant or what it was at all if He did not create it and place it in our hearts. His life cannot be taken from us only hidden from us. Tell him you’re ready to feel loved by him. “ Jesus, I trust in you.” and “ Lord have mercy on me; a sinner.” are the two simplest mantras and prayers to keep on your heart, in your mind and on your lips to tell God the closeness you seek with him. He seeks you too. Your readiness and you’re willingness and your humility
and your readiness is all He needs right now. May God bless you and I pray the Lord showers you in His unshakable, undeniable, unquestioning and unconditional love because once you feel it, there would be no denying it’s Truth. God does love you, I love you, and may God bless you with His presence.

Please pray that I understand and know that God loves me.
Please have empathy for yourself my sibling in Christ, the ways in this world are so painful to navigate, and the ways that we look back on our lives in past tense, can cause us to feel terrible in present tense. God does not want us to feel ashamed of ourselves only to go to Him with our shame and leave it at His feet. “Lord have mercy on me; a sinner” and “Jesus, I trust in you” are the two prayers and mantras I compel you to keep on your heart and on your lips and I encourage anyone I am able to share this with to remember the same. It can feel so hard to believe that we are deserving of forgiveness I have found the path to forgiving ourselves can come after we begin, forgiving those who have never apologized to us. To declare out loud that they are forgiven, even though it is not an emotion it is an action. It’s a display of humility before God. The resentment we have for ourselves is so painful to carry, but try and look back at the things that you have done in life or the things that have happened and remember the pain you were in, remember that you did the best you knew how AND you can do better. Today is not yesterday or last year for 10 years ago. You do not need to harbor resentment for who you once were in order to hold yourself accountable for your actions. That’s a private personal thing to share with the Lord. Forgive yourself because you want to be better. The yearning and the action of wanting to be better is in itself the act of becoming better. God bless you, have empathy for the circumstances you were in. Grieve your past, do not live in it. It’s gone now. It’s the memories we contend with. But far more memories are to come than those that have gone. Memories can be lessons or they can be lacerations. Place your hand on your heart and say out loud “this hurts.” the guilt and grief and shame can hurt, yes. But like I said you did the best you knew how and you can do better. You will do better. You are better. You are God’s child and He loves you. I love you too, and God bless you.

I intended to post this here, but I posted it under another prayer request so maybe that person needed to hear this too.
