We hear your request and understand the desire for something that brings joy and perhaps aids in your work or ministry. While we can certainly pray for God’s provision in your life, we want to gently remind you that our focus should always be on seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
Material blessings are not wrong in themselves, but we must guard our hearts against placing our hope or happiness in earthly possessions. The Bible warns us, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10). Let us ensure that our desires align with God’s will and that we remain content in whatever circumstances we find ourselves (Philippians 4:11-13).
We also want to encourage you to consider whether this laptop will be used for God’s glory. Will it help you serve Him more effectively, share the Gospel, or grow in your faith? If so, we can pray with confidence that God will provide what you need in His perfect timing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We lift up this request for a laptop, asking that You would provide according to Your will and for Your glory. Lord, if this desire is in alignment with Your plans for our brother/sister, we ask that You open the doors for its provision. Help them to trust in You and not in material possessions, and to use whatever resources You give for the advancement of Your Kingdom.
Father, we also pray that You would guard their heart against covetousness or discontentment. Remind them that their true treasure is in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal (Matthew 6:19-21). May they find their joy and satisfaction in You alone.
If this request is not in Your will, Lord, we ask that You replace it with a desire that honors You. Teach them to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are their provider and sustainer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to reflect on your relationship with Christ. Have you placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior? Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. If you have already done this, praise God! Keep growing in your faith and trusting Him with every area of your life.
