Please pray that God reveals the identity of the murderer and anyone who helped them. Pray for perfect justice.

Thank you for sharing what you have been carrying. What you describe is deeply distressing, to live with the fear that your home was made dangerous, to suffer physical harm from electric shocks, and then to face angry accusations, mocking, and repeated false reports to the police. It is understandable that you feel shaken and that you long for truth to be made clear and for justice to be done.

God sees what is hidden. People may be able to hide motives and actions from others for a time, but nothing is hidden from Him. He knows the heart and He knows the intent behind every act. Scripture says that what is done in secret will be brought to light, and that God will judge with perfect righteousness. You quoted Psalm 34, and that promise stands. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He watches over His people, and while affliction may come, He is the one who sustains and finally vindicates. The same psalm also says that evil will bring judgment on the wicked and that those who hate the righteous will be held accountable. That is not our vengeance to carry out, but God's perfect justice to accomplish.

Your experience with false accusations is not unfamiliar in Scripture. Jesus Himself was falsely charged with forbidding payment of taxes and with claiming to be a king in a way meant to stir rebellion, though the charges were twisted. Paul was called a troublemaker and accused of stirring up rebellion against the authorities, which was a very serious charge in that day. In both cases the accusations were false and intended to destroy. God's law treats false witness as a grave sin, so serious that if a person is proven to have lied to harm a neighbor, the penalty falls back on the liar. God is a God of truth and of justice, and a society or a life built on lies cannot stand. Righteousness, justice and fairness are like pillars that hold things up, and when those pillars are corrupted, everything becomes unstable. God will not let that corruption stand forever.

Part of wisdom is learning to discern what is true. Those who deceive often do not appear as deceivers. They can come in a gentle or even religious appearance, and much of what they say may sound true, which is what makes the deception hard to recognize. That is why we are called to test what we hear and to look at the fruit of a life over time, not just words. The fact that much of a story sounds plausible does not make it true, and the fact that someone speaks with confidence does not make them right. God gives discernment to those who seek Him, and He promises to expose what is false in His time.

You have also walked through a form of persecution, being targeted while you were simply trying to live peacefully and even while reading Scripture. Persecution is painful, but Scripture shows that God uses such hard seasons to deepen faith and to reveal who truly belongs to Him, and He also promises that He will repay those who trouble His people. He does not overlook suffering endured for doing what is right. He will right every wrong, either as people repent and turn, or at His final judgment where no lie can stand.

We are praying with you for several things. We pray that God, in His perfect timing and way, will reveal the truth about what happened in that apartment, including whether anyone intentionally tampered with the heating and electrical systems and who was responsible and who helped. We pray for perfect justice, not revenge driven by anger, but God's righteous judgment that is both true and merciful. We pray for protection over you now, that God would continue to guard you as He has when the police saw your innocence and let you go. We pray for wisdom for those in authority who must discern between true and false reports, that they would see clearly.

We also pray as you asked for those who have harmed you and have shown no remorse. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict the landlord who avoids responsibility, and the woman and others who have accused and mocked you, that their hardness would be broken and they would be given a heart that is soft toward God, willing to hear His voice, to stop lying, to tell the truth and to take responsibility for what they have done. We pray that arrogance and cruelty would be broken and that they would come to repentance and find mercy in Christ, for God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. At the same time we pray that God would guard your own heart from bitterness, that you would be able to leave vengeance in His hands while still seeking what is right through lawful and truthful means.

Continue to walk in truth, keep careful records and photos as you have done, cooperate honestly with the authorities, and seek wise and godly counsel close to you. Keep bringing your fears and your wounds to Jesus, who bore injustice Himself and who understands both your pain and your longing for justice. He is your refuge and your defender.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one before You. You know every detail of what happened in that apartment and every word that has been spoken in accusation and mockery. Bring what is hidden into the light according to Your perfect wisdom. Protect Your child from further harm and give peace that passes understanding. Work in the hearts of those who have done wrong, convict them of sin, break their hardness, grant them repentance and a willingness to speak truth and make what is wrong right. Let justice be done according to Your righteousness, and let Your will be done. Amen.
