Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so openly what you have walked through and for inviting prayer. What you describe is deeply distressing, the fear in your own home, the injuries from electric shocks, the accusations made against you when you had not done what was claimed, and the frustration of not being heard by those responsible. It is right to bring all of this before the Lord who sees what is hidden and who knows every heart and intention.
Scripture reminds us that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and that God keeps and watches over His people. At the same time Scripture is clear that God will bring justice in His perfect time and way. Human justice is built on pillars of righteousness, truth and fairness, and when those pillars are weakened, people suffer. That is why God cares so deeply about truthfulness and just judgment.
One thing the Bible teaches repeatedly is to be careful with accusations. An accusation by itself is not proof. Under God’s law a matter is to be established by witnesses who saw and heard for themselves, not by what someone heard from someone else. A false witness who tries to pin a crime on a neighbor bears serious guilt before God. This protects both the innocent who are falsely accused and the community that needs the truth to come to light. In your situation, the fact that police have twice heard the complaints against you and found you innocent and free to go is significant. It shows the importance of proper witnesses and proper process rather than hearsay and shouting. It is also a mercy from God that the people you live near now were willing to look at your documentation and photos and listen.
Scripture also warns that deception is often hard to spot at first because it can come looking harmless, like a sheep, and can contain much that sounds true while mixing in what is false. A message or a claim is not made true simply because most of it sounds right or because many people repeat it. God requires truthfulness, and He calls His people to test what they hear, to love truth, and to refuse to spread what they have not verified. This applies to those accusing you and it also applies to all of us as we speak about others. Even when we have been deeply hurt, we are called to speak carefully, to avoid returning accusation for accusation, and to leave room for God to reveal what only He fully knows.
You have asked for prayer that if any technicians or others intentionally tampered with the heating and electrical systems, that this would be exposed, and that perfect justice would be done. We can pray for that together, asking God to bring to light whatever was done in secret, whether through carelessness or through evil intent, and to guide those in authority to handle evidence honestly and thoroughly. We can also pray that God would protect you from further harm and from false reports, and that He would continue to give you wisdom to document what happened, to seek qualified help to assess the apartment, and to cooperate with lawful authorities.
You have also asked for prayer for those who have hurt and mocked you, the former landlord who will not speak with you, the woman who has shouted accusations, and the concierge who mocked your injuries. It is right to pray that the Holy Spirit would soften hard hearts and give a heart of flesh in place of hardness, that they would stop lying, take responsibility where responsibility is due, and come to repentance. God desires not only justice but also mercy and salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and He calls us to pray for our enemies and to desire their repentance rather than their destruction. That does not mean excusing wrongdoing or pretending it did not happen, but it does mean asking God to break arrogance and to bring conviction that leads to truth and to changed lives.
Severe pressure and unfair treatment are painful, and yet God often uses such trials to deepen faith, to bind His people together in love, and to show His power to save and to reveal truth. Continue to walk close to Jesus, to read His Word as you have been doing, to bring your wounds to Him for healing, and to guard your own heart from bitterness. Trust Him to be your defender when you are falsely accused, and to be the perfect Judge who will not miss anything.
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this child of Yours before You. You know the truth about that apartment, about the locks, the heating and electrical systems, and about every person involved. If wrong was done intentionally, expose it. If there was negligence, expose that as well. Let what was done in secret be brought into the light so that proper responsibility can be taken and so that others are protected. Give wisdom and integrity to those who investigate, and give them eyes to see clearly. Protect Your child from further false accusations and from all harm, heal the injuries to the body and calm the fear and unrest in the heart. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on the landlord, on the woman who has accused, and on the concierge, convict them where they have spoken falsely or acted unjustly, break hardness and pride, and lead them to speak truth, to make amends where needed, and above all to submit to You and receive mercy through Jesus. Help Your child to walk in truth, to speak truth, to love enemies and to trust Your perfect justice and Your perfect timing. Show Your deliverance as Psalm 34 promises, and let Your will be done. Amen.
