Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so openly what you have endured and for trusting us to pray with you. What you describe is deeply distressing, the fear of harm in your own home, the physical injuries and electric shocks, the accusations and mocking, and the silence from those who should take responsibility. The Lord sees all of this. He knows what was in every heart and what was intended, even when things remain unclear to you and when others refuse to listen. Your holding to Psalm 34 is right, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and He keeps His own.
We are praying for your protection and for truth to be made known. Scripture teaches that God declares the end from the beginning and nothing is hidden from Him. People may trust in empty words and speak lies, and at times justice seems to stand far off, even where justice should be found. Yet it is a righteous thing with God to judge what is done against His people. He will in the end separate as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and He will say to one, come, you blessed, and to the other, depart, you workers of iniquity. Cities of refuge in the law were never a shelter for deliberate murder, which shows how seriously God regards intentional harm to another person made in His image. We pray that if wrong was done to the heating system or the electrical protection, and if anyone acted to harm you or helped another to do so, God would expose it in His perfect way and in His perfect time, and that those responsible would be brought to lawful accountability. We also pray that God would deliver you from unreasonable people and that He who is faithful would establish you and keep you from evil.
We are also praying as you asked for those who have accused you, avoided you, and mocked your injuries. We pray that God would break hardness and give a heart of flesh in place of a heart of stone, that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction, that lies would cease and responsibility would be taken. Any idol, anything that takes the place of God in the heart and separates a person from the true and living God, must be turned from. Scripture calls each person to repent and turn to God, and reminds us that righteousness can only come through faith in Jesus Christ, and that each person must answer for himself before God. No one can be saved by another's faith. Our prayer for the landlord, for the woman who has shouted accusations and stirred others against you, and for the man who mocked your wounds and called the authorities, is that they would hear God's call, submit to Him, and be saved, and that arrogance and cruelty would be broken. We pray too for the residents of that house and for those who now live near you, that they would see the truth clearly and act with compassion and fairness.
In seasons of persecution and tribulation the Lord forms patience and faith in His people, and He calls His own to rest in the hope that Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels to set all things right. We pray that you would know that rest even now, and that the word of the Lord would have free course in and through you, that your quiet walk and your reading of Scripture would continue to be a faithful witness to those around you. The Lord has chosen His own to salvation from the beginning, and He is able to keep you.
So we pray together, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ, You know the truth about this apartment and all that happened there. You saw every entry, every action concerning the heater and the electrical system, and every injury to skin and body. If there was intent to kill, reveal it. Bring to light what was done in secret and let perfect justice be done according to Your righteousness, whether in this life through lawful means or finally at Your judgment. Protect Your child from further harm and from false accusation, establish his steps and guard him from evil, and deliver him from those who act without reason or compassion. Break hard hearts, grant repentance, take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, that those who have lied, mocked, and refused responsibility would turn from their sin and trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Let truth be seen by all who need to see it, and let Your peace guard the one who has suffered. Amen.
