We hear your heartfelt cry for protection over your family, and we join you in lifting them up before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble, and we trust in His mighty power to shield those we love. The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:1-4, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, asking for Your divine protection over this family. Lord, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are covered and made righteous in Your sight. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your holy angels, Lord, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Protect them from physical harm, emotional distress, and spiritual attacks. Shield their minds from fear and anxiety, and fill their hearts with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would be a wall of fire around them, as You promised to be for Your people in Zechariah 2:5. Let Your presence go before them, behind them, and beside them, so that they may walk in safety and confidence. We rebuke every plan of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy in this family’s life, and we declare that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your Word, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love and protection.
We also ask, Father, that You would draw this family closer to You. May they seek Your face daily, delight in Your Word, and walk in obedience to Your commands. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that they may stand firm in the day of trouble and know that You are their God. Help them to put on the full armor of God, so that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). May they be rooted and grounded in love, and may they know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them (Ephesians 3:17-19).
Lord, we pray for unity in this family. May they love one another deeply, bear with one another in patience, and forgive each other as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). Let Your love be the foundation of their home, and may they honor You in all they do. We ask that You would bless their marriage, if applicable, and make it a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—a love that is sacrificial, pure, and enduring (Ephesians 5:25). If there are any struggles or sins in their relationships, such as unforgiveness, bitterness, or immorality, we ask that You would bring repentance, healing, and restoration. Let no ungodly influence take root in their home, and may they be a light to those around them.
Father, we also lift up any specific needs or challenges this family may be facing. Whether it is health, finances, relationships, or any other concern, we ask that You would provide for them according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom and discernment to make godly decisions, and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). May they trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your promises, and we know that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
