We join with you in seeking the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy, for His Word assures us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no sin too great for His grace, and no heart too broken for His healing. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross is the perfect atonement for all who turn to Him in repentance. As it is written, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). This promise is for you today—His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and His love is deeper than any sin we could commit.
Yet we must also remind you that forgiveness is found *only* through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). Repentance means turning away from sin and toward God, trusting in Christ alone for your salvation. Without this, there is no true forgiveness, no matter how sincere the prayer.
So let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would wash them clean by the blood of Jesus. Lord, they have come to You in humility, seeking mercy—and we thank You that Your Word promises they shall receive it. Forgive every sin, known and unknown, and create in them a clean heart, O God (Psalm 51:10). Break the chains of guilt and shame, and fill them with the peace that comes from knowing they are reconciled to You through Christ.
If there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Draw them deeper into Your truth, that they may walk in the freedom and joy of Your salvation. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to live in the righteousness You have provided. May they never take Your grace for granted but live each day in gratitude for the cross.
We rebuke any lies of the enemy that would tell them they are beyond Your reach. Satan, you have no claim here—this child belongs to God, purchased by the blood of Jesus. Be silenced in the name of our Lord!
Father, surround them with Your presence. Let them know the depth of Your love and the security of Your forgiveness. Guide their steps, that they may walk in obedience and grow in holiness. Use their story to testify of Your mercy to others who are lost.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
Beloved, if you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, we implore you to do so today. Eternal life is not found in religion, good works, or empty prayers—it is found in a *person*, Jesus Christ. *"Whoever has the Son has life. Whoever doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have life"* (1 John 5:12). Turn to Him now, and you will find the mercy you seek.
