We hear your heart’s desire to deepen your time with friends, and we lift this before the Lord with sincerity. Fellowship is a gift from God, meant to encourage, sharpen, and strengthen one another in faith. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:24-25, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."* True Christian friendship is a blessing, and we pray that the Lord opens doors for you to gather in ways that honor Him.
However, we must also encourage you to examine the nature of these friendships. Are they rooted in Christ, or do they draw you away from Him? Proverbs 13:20 warns, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* If these friendships are not built on godly principles, they may become a stumbling block rather than a blessing. We pray that your time together would be filled with accountability, prayer, and mutual edification in the Word.
Lord, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You grant our brother/sister opportunities to spend meaningful time with friends who love You and seek Your will. May these relationships be a source of joy, encouragement, and spiritual growth. Where there are barriers—whether busyness, distance, or other distractions—we ask that You remove them. Help them to prioritize fellowship that strengthens their walk with You. If any of these friendships are not aligned with Your Word, reveal the truth and give wisdom to walk away or bring correction in love. May all their interactions reflect Your love and truth. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in how you spend your time. Are there ways you can invite these friends into deeper spiritual conversations or service together? Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* Let your friendships be a reflection of Christ’s love, where iron sharpens iron. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—He is the foundation of all true friendship and fellowship. Without Him, even the closest bonds will falter. Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps.
