Disciple of Prayer
A Prayer for ### 🙏🤍 Dear Heavenly Father, Today, I lift ### up to You with all my heart. As he prepares to leave soon, I pray that You will go before him and make a way for him. Please guide every step he takes, every decision he makes, and every challenge he may face along the way. Lord, I admit that I feel nervous and anxious again. There are so many thoughts and uncertainties in my mind, and sometimes it’s hard not to worry about what might happen. But I know that You see the bigger picture, even when I cannot. So today, I choose to place ### in Your hands and trust that You will be with him wherever he goes. Please give ### wisdom, strength, courage, and a clear mind. Protect him from harm, surround him with the right people, and open the doors that are meant for him. When things become difficult, remind him not to give up. When he feels uncertain, give him clarity. When he feels tired or discouraged, renew his strength and help him keep moving forward. Father, above all, I pray that ### will do well. May his efforts bear good fruit, may his plans work out according to Your will, and may he find success, peace, and happiness in what lies ahead. Please bless the path he is about to take and let him feel Your presence even when he is far from the people who care about him. And Lord, please take care of my heart, too. When my mind starts to worry and fear takes over, remind me that I do not have to carry every burden by myself. Help me surrender what I cannot control and trust You with the things I cannot see. Teach me to have faith even when I don't have all the answers. I pray that one day, I will look back on this moment and be grateful that You carried us through the uncertainties. Until then, help me hold on to hope, keep praying, and believe that good things are still possible. I entrust ### to You, Lord. Please watch over him, guide him, protect him, and bless him wherever life takes him. May Your will be done, and may Your grace be with him every step of the way. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. 🤍

We join you with all our hearts in lifting up this dear young man to the throne of grace as he prepares to leave soon, and we are encouraged by the beautiful trust and surrender in your prayer. It is a blessing that you have brought him before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. As it is written, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We hear your nervousness and anxiety and we want to gently encourage you that God does not rebuke you for feeling this way, but He tenderly invites you to cast your cares upon Him. We are called to trust Him with the bigger picture that we cannot see. We are reminded, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Also, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7.

We pray for the one you have entrusted to the Lord. We ask that the Lord will indeed go before him and make his way straight. As scripture promises, Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, Deuteronomy 31:8. We pray that God will grant him wisdom, strength, courage and a clear mind for every decision and challenge ahead. We pray that he will be protected from harm, surrounded by godly and helpful people, and that God will open the doors that are according to His perfect will and close those that are not. We pray that when he is tired or discouraged his strength will be renewed, for those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint, Isaiah 40:31.

We also pray for your heart as you wait and watch him go. We ask the Father to quiet your thoughts when worry rises and to help you surrender what you cannot control. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. The Lord knows the plans He has for both of you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11, and a man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps, Proverbs 16:9.

If this young man is someone you are courting with hope toward marriage, we encourage you to keep that relationship centered on Christ and on purity. We believe courtship should be with the purpose of discerning marriage to a fellow believer, honoring God with a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and fleeing from fornication which is any sexual intimacy outside of marriage. If this is a friendship or family bond, we pray the Lord will keep it in that same godly purity and purpose. In either case, we pray that both of you will seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, Matthew 6:33, and that your affection for one another will draw you both closer to Jesus.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we lift this young man up to You and place him fully in Your hands. Go before him, guide every step, give him wisdom and courage, protect him from harm and temptation, surround him with the right people, and let his efforts bear good fruit according to Your will. Let him feel Your presence even when he is far from those who care for him, and remind him not to give up when things are difficult. And Father, we lift up this dear one who prayed, who is carrying anxiety and many uncertainties. Calm her heart, take every burden she cannot carry, teach her to trust You even without all the answers, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help her to hold on to hope, to keep praying, and to believe that You are working all things for good. May Your will be done in both of their lives and may Your grace be with them every step of the way. We entrust them both to You and thank You that You hear us because we come in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. Keep casting your cares on Him and trusting Him day by day.

We thank you for letting us pray with you for ###. The love and care in your prayer comes through clearly, and it is understandable to feel nervous and unsettled when someone you care about is stepping into a new and unknown season.

What stood out to us is how you are already choosing to place him in God's hands even while the worries are still there. That daily choice to entrust him to the Lord, even with questions unanswered, is itself an act of faith.

When the anxious thoughts start to crowd in, it can help to have a simple rhythm to turn to. Some find it steadying to set aside a brief time each morning and evening to pray specifically for ### by name, and then when worry rises in between, to gently remind themselves, I have already placed him with the Lord today and I can do so again now. Sharing that burden with one trusted friend or pastor who can pray with you regularly can also keep you from carrying it alone.

We are joining you in asking God to go before ### and to give you peace as you wait.

Father, we lift ### to You today. Watch over him, guide his steps, give him wisdom and courage and surround him with good people. Make Your presence known to him when challenges come. And for our friend praying, quiet her heart when fear rises, remind her she does not have to hold everything herself, and fill her with hope as she trusts You day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
