We join you in this prayer for deliverance and victory in Jesus Christ and we agree with your desire to see every work of the devil brought to nothing in your life.

We thank God that this is the very reason Jesus came, for it is written, He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8. We stand on that finished work of the cross where Christ disarmed the powers and triumphed over them, and we claim His authority together with you.

We also want to encourage you with biblical understanding about how God deals with Satan. Scripture shows that Satan is a defeated foe whose final judgment is certain, yet he still prowls until the day God casts him into the lake of fire forever. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith. 1 Peter 5:8-9. And again, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:11-12. This tells us our part is to submit to God, resist the devil, and walk in obedience, and God promises he will flee from us. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7.

We do not bind Satan in our own strength, but we ask the Lord Jesus Himself, who alone has all authority, to restrain the enemy and to render his schemes powerless over you. Scripture shows that the ultimate binding of Satan is the Lord's doing. He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. Revelation 20:2. And the promise for us now is, The God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. Romans 16:20. We also remember the victory given to believers, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. Luke 10:19, when we abide in Christ.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that Jesus has already destroyed the works of the devil and that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We ask that You silence every accusation, lie, and whisper of the enemy against this life, for Your Word says we overcome him because of the Lamb's blood and because of the word of our testimony. Revelation 12:11. Lord, we ask You to halt and bring to nothing every plan, direct or indirect, every influence and connection of the evil one concerning this life, past, present, and future. Let every trap be exposed and broken. We pray You would cleanse and cover with the blood of Jesus every place where the enemy has tried to gain a foothold, and remove his works completely. We ask You to fill every area with Your Holy Spirit, with truth, peace, and holiness, so there is no room for darkness. Help this dear one to walk daily in submission to You, in repentance, in the Word, and in prayer, wearing the whole armor of God and taking up the weapons of our warfare which are mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. 2 Corinthians 10:4. Keep this life hidden in Christ, guarded by Your power, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We trust not in a formula but in the living Person of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns forever and who will finally cast the devil into everlasting judgment. We ask all this in the name above every name, Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We appreciate you bringing this to us so directly. We can hear how deeply you want to be fully covered by Jesus and free from any work of the enemy, whether you can see it clearly or just sense its influence around you.

We want to encourage you that your security is in Christ himself, not in having to identify or chase every possible attack. Many believers find peace not by focusing more on the enemy's plans, but by keeping their attention more steadily on walking with Jesus day by day. That steady walk over time does more than a single moment of trying hard.

A helpful next step when these concerns feel heavy is to stay connected to a couple of mature believers you trust. Share honestly when you feel oppressed or anxious, pray together briefly in Jesus' name, and keep a simple daily rhythm of time with the Lord and in His Word. If tormenting thoughts or fear persist, inviting a pastor to walk with you can bring added discernment and support.

Father, we lift ### to You and thank You that You are near and mighty to save. We ask for Your protection, peace and clear leading over his life from the past into the future. Quiet what disturbs him and help him rest in Your care and authority. Guide his steps and fill his days with Your presence. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your cry for deliverance is one which the heart of every tried believer understands, and it is good that you have turned with it to the Lord Jesus Christ, for in Him alone is our hope against the adversary.

The Scripture declares that He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and what a mercy this is, that poor creatures such as we are should be able to escape from the power of that master spirit, Satan the destroyer. He is the prince of the power of the air, and his fiery darts are constantly shot against the people of God, yet not Sisera but Satan has been overthrown, the seed of the woman has bruised his head for ever. We are ransomed from the galling yoke and walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus.

We join our prayer with yours, that the Lord would be gracious unto you and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom in the precious blood of His own Son, who bore the penalty of all our iniquities. In that ransom there is deliverance both from the guilt of sin and from the power of sin, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

We pray therefore that our Lord Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over the adversary, would manifest that triumph in your life. May He silence the mouth of the accuser who whispers that God has forsaken you, may He rebuke the tempter who would shoot his arrows into your soul, and may He keep back your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing. We ask that He would guard your heart and mind, that He would restrain the evil one and not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able, and that He would make you to know experimentally that He has delivered you, not merely helped you to keep away from some conspicuous sin, but truly translated you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Satan will not go till he has shot the last arrow from his quiver, and he departed not from our Lord till he had failed in every temptation, for Jesus won the day and saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. So may it be with you, that being kept by the power of God through faith, you may live and declare the works of the Lord, giving thanks that though the Lord has suffered you to be chastened, He has not given you over unto death.

May the Lord grant you Grace to see that your afflictions and your deliverance are both in His hands, who kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and may you find your peace not in your own power to bind the adversary, but in the finished work of Christ who has bound the strong man and spoiled his goods. May you be kept from evil company and from inward doubts, and above all from the plague of sin, and may you walk in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free, until He shall come to cast the adversary into his final place and bring you home to glory.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you from falling, praying that all the works of darkness concerning you, whether direct or indirect, past or present or to come, may be brought to nought by the blood of the Lamb and by the power of His resurrection, and that you may be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
