Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord.
We thank God that you have taken this step toward counseling and that you desire to turn away from sin and walk in holiness. Scripture teaches that we are to follow peace with all men and holiness, and that holiness includes chaste and orderly living in marriage. Marriage is honorable and pure, and God has given it to preserve us in faithfulness, that a husband should live faithfully with his own wife and not give himself to fornication or impurity. Your desire to stop falling into this sin is right and good in the sight of God, and He is able to give strength to those who seek Him with a sincere heart.
We pray for you today as you begin counseling. We ask the Father to give you clarity, honesty, and understanding, that your inner questions would be answered according to His truth, and that this time would bear real and lasting fruit. We pray that God would grant you repentance, self control, and a renewed purpose to use the gift of marriage with moderation and faithfulness, knowing that marriage itself is not a hindrance but is ordained by God for good when lived according to His design. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation, strengthen you to walk in purity and to enjoy the good things He has prepared for those who love Him.
We also pray for your wife, that the Lord would comfort her, heal what has been wounded, and give you both grace to pursue reconciliation, forgiveness, and a lifelong covenant together as one man and one woman, as God intended from the beginning. We pray that your home would be marked by chasteness, gravity, and order, and by the peace that comes from following Christ.
We lift up your friend artiste as well, asking God to meet his needs, draw him close to Jesus, and work in his life according to His mercy and wisdom.
We will continue to pray that the Lord keeps you, cleanses you, and makes you strong to live in a way that honors Him. May He who is faithful complete the good work He has begun in you.
