Thank you for sharing this honestly and for asking for prayer. Your desire for healing in the name of Jesus is a good and right desire, and I am joining you in prayer for that healing.
The Bible shows that what the world often calls freedom is actually bondage. When a person gives himself over to sexual sin in the name of being free to do what he wants, he finds he is no longer free at all, but bound and driven by that desire. The wonderful freedom Jesus gives is different. It is not so much the freedom to do those things, but the freedom not to have to do them. Through His Spirit He opens the prison to those who are bound and sets captives free, so that you do not have to be compelled by that appetite any longer. That is the freedom Christ wants for you, to live in purity as God designed, where sex is honored within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.
Scripture also shows that Jesus came to bear our infirmities and sicknesses. Isaiah prophesied that He would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows, and Matthew tells us that Jesus fulfilled this when He healed every sickness and every disease among the people and cast out evil spirits. When Jesus broke the bread He said this is My body which is broken for you. His suffering provides for both spiritual healing from sin and physical and inner healing as well. God still heals today.
There is much about healing we do not fully understand. In the Gospels we see Jesus heal in different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes healing came gradually. Sometimes He was present and sometimes He healed from a distance. All healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through a slower process that He has built into our bodies and minds. What matters is that we look to Him and trust Him for it.
I do not know why some receive an immediate sense of deliverance and others walk out their healing step by step, but I believe God is able and willing to heal and to deliver, and we can ask Him with confidence.
I pray for you now in Jesus name. Father, I bring this one who is asking for help before You. You see the struggle and the bondage, and You delight to set the bound free by Your Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, break the power of this addiction. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus, cleanse the heart, and heal the mind and body. Bear this infirmity as You promised, and work Your healing, whether in a moment or day by day. Give freedom not to be driven by this desire any longer, and fill this life with Your Spirit so that there is strength to walk in purity and in Your design for wholeness. Make a way where there seems to be no way and lead into lasting deliverance. Guard and keep and restore, and help to walk closely with Jesus each day through His Word and prayer and with trusted, godly help. Amen.
Keep seeking the Lord Jesus Himself. He is the one who saves and the one who heals. Stay near to Him, stay in His Word, and do not walk alone but let mature believers who hold to biblical truth walk with you and help you remain accountable. God is faithful to complete the work He has begun.
