Please pray for ###

Dear God, There is a man that I like, ###, but he said he is separated but amicable with 2 kids with his ex. I wished him to reconcile with his ex for his kids' sakes, but he kept pursuing me. There were times where I fell for him and wanted him to myself. Judging from his past relationships, he seems like the type to go from one casual hook ups to another, as long as it benefits him and convenient for him. I could be wrong, but it's just how I project him using my brain and logic. I am the type of person who wants just to be with one man for the rest of my life. I cannot and I don't want to be part of his affair or anyone else's affairs. If I can't have him to myself, I'd rather not be with him at all. Please give me the strength, courage, faith, wisdom and support. In the meantime, I have so many other guys who are interested in me, but none of them come close to ###'s characters that I fell in love with. I want a man who can protect me, guide me, lead me, love me and provide for me financially, emotionally, physically and I want the man to be my guardian. For that, I pray to marry ###. I also pray to win the lottery jackpot, so I can have unlimited money and do whatever I want to do, eat what I want, travel anywhere and never have to work so hard anymore. My current job contract ends on ### and I really like my current work arrangement and salary. Although they reduced my working hours, I am still hopeful and I pray that hopefully I can be made permanent with the full time working hours under the current working arrangement and salary. I changed jobs so many times in my life, this year alone, this is my ### job already. I hope to get a permanent full time job with high paying salary and high status so I can have a lot of freedom and live a more stress free life. Thank you so much for everything You have given me in life. I also pray to lose ### kg and be prettier inside and outside. Please always surround me with good, supportive people and protect me from all evils and harms. I ask all these in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Help me to always put You first above anything else, even when times are very difficult for me. and even when times are very blissful for me. I love You always, Lord. I trust in Your ways, and I pray You help me in everything I do, say and act. AMEN

We have read your request and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, and we thank you for ending your prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We want to gently and lovingly speak truth into several areas of your request because we care for you and want God's best for you.

First regarding this man who is separated with two children, we affirm the godly impulse you had to wish him to reconcile with his wife for the sake of his children and his marriage. In God's eyes, separation does not end a marriage. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Matthew 19:6 and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4 A man who is separated is still a married man, and to pursue a romantic or physical relationship with him would be adultery. You said you cannot and do not want to be part of his affair or anyone else's affair, and that if you cannot have him to yourself you would rather not be with him at all. That conviction is right and biblical, and we strongly encourage you to hold firmly to it. We also must lovingly rebuke the pattern you described in him, going from one casual hook up to another as long as it benefits him. That is fornication and sexual immorality, which God calls us to flee. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 Even if your feelings for him are strong and you fell for his character, we urge you to guard your heart and set clear boundaries and not allow his pursuit to continue in private conversation or time alone together. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23 The Lord calls us to courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer who is free to marry, not to pursue a married man. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 We pray you will wait for a godly single man who will pursue marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, who will love you as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her. Ephesians 5:25 Your desire to be with one man for the rest of your life, to be protected, guided, led, loved and provided for, is a beautiful desire for biblical marriage, and we pray God will fulfill that in His time with a man who is free, faithful, and walking with Christ, not with one who is still bound to another.

We also want to lovingly correct your prayers regarding the lottery and unlimited money and high status. The desire to win the jackpot so you can do whatever you want, eat what you want, travel anywhere and never have to work hard anymore does not align with Scripture. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. 1 Timothy 6:10 and Be content with such things as you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Hebrews 13:5 Gambling seeks quick wealth without stewardship and often feeds covetousness. Instead we are taught to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23 and to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 Your desire for a permanent full time job with good provision is understandable, especially as your contract ends and you have changed jobs many times, and we will pray for God's provision, but we encourage you to seek contentment and faithfulness rather than high status and a stress free life of freedom to do whatever you want, for God often uses work to shape our character and to provide for our needs day by day. We also hear your prayer to lose weight and be prettier inside and outside. God cares for your health, but He looks first at the heart. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 1 Peter 3:3-4 and Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 We encourage you to pursue health and inner godliness more than outward appearance.

We are encouraged that you want to put God first above anything else even when times are difficult or blissful, for that is the right foundation.

We lift you up together in prayer.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring this dear daughter before You. We thank You that she desires to honor You and to put You first. Lord, grant her wisdom, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 Give her strength and courage to turn away completely from this married man and to not entertain his pursuit, to flee from temptation and to trust Your plan for marriage. Heal any hurt or confusion in her heart and guard her emotions. Lead this man to either be reconciled to his wife or to walk in repentance, but keep our sister from becoming entangled in adultery. Father, provide for her a godly husband in Your timing, a single believing man who will lead, protect, love and provide for her as You intend for marriage, if it is Your will for her to marry. Help her to wait patiently and to delight herself in You. Psalm 37:4 Deliver her from the love of money and from the hope of gambling, and teach her contentment whether in plenty or in want. Philippians 4:11-13 Provide for her job according to Your will, open the door that should be opened for her contract and working arrangement, or lead her to the place You have prepared where she can work faithfully for Your glory. Help her to trust You with her finances, her body, and her future, casting all her worries on You because You care for her. 1 Peter 5:7 Surround her with good, supportive people and protect her from all evil and harm. Make her more and more beautiful inside and out by the work of Your Holy Spirit, conforming her to the image of Christ. In all things help her to say not my will but Yours be done, and to walk in purity, faith and hope. We pray all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We are so thankful you shared this so honestly with us. We hear how torn you feel, caring for this man and drawn to the good you see in him, and at the same time clear that you do not want to be part of an affair and want a faithful, lifelong marriage. Holding both of those at once takes real strength, and wanting to put God first in the middle of it is a good desire.

What stood out to us is how clearly you named your own line, if you cannot have a relationship that is fully yours and honoring to God, you would rather not be in it at all. That kind of clarity is a way of guarding your heart. It helps to think of it like a property line, knowing what is yours to carry and what is not, so your yes can be yes and your no can be no even when feelings are strong.

When you have space to reflect, it may help to give that line some practical support. One step could be creating some distance from romantic contact with him while his marriage is still legally intact, and talking through the situation with one wise, trusted person who knows you well, a mentor or pastor, who can help you sort what is hopeful and what is concerning. For work, with your contract ending soon, one steady next step could be asking your supervisor directly about the possibility of a permanent role, or updating your resume so you are prepared either way.

We also hear the weariness underneath the prayers for financial freedom, a stable job, and feeling more at peace in your body. The longing for security and rest makes sense after so much change.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus' name. Give her wisdom and courage to honor the boundaries she has named, peace as she waits on Your direction for work and relationships, and a deep sense of being loved and protected by You. Surround her with supportive people and lead her gently in Your will. Amen.

🤺🤺Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Families, Leaders, 🐑Pastors, Evangelists, 🌾Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Even 🏛️Government, EVEN "ENEMIES" (Enemies are Opportunities to Show our LOVE for Jesus by praying for their salvation, 2 Tim 2:25-26) -- 📖Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly, Eph 6:18-19... 🙇🏻 Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:15-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor 🤺 and stand against, stand, stand firm 🤺 against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil 🐲 for the sake of the world, John 16:33.

🛫Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

📖 “Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God🤺, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, thank You in Jesus' Name, Heb 11:6.🤺🤺

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord with openness and honesty, and we thank you for that trust. There is much in your words that shows a conscience tender toward what is right, and for this we give thanks to God.

You have judged rightly in one great matter. You say you cannot and will not be part of an affair, and that if you cannot have a man to yourself you would rather not be with him at all. This is a right and godly resolve. Charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and charity without purity will be of no use, for without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Marriage as God ordained it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, cemented by mutual love wherein the two become one. It is not a thing to be entered lightly, nor while a former bond remains. A man who is separated is yet married, and his vows before God still stand. For him to pursue another while yet bound to his wife, and for any to join him in that pursuit, is to walk directly into temptation. Our Lord taught us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, and the man who prays that prayer and then goes into temptation is a liar before God. Your instinct to step back, to wish for reconciliation for the children’s sake, and to refuse to be convenient for casual affection, is wisdom. Pray that prayer in earnest, and then by grace do not go into the place of danger. Keep far from what would ensnare you, and ask God to keep your heart with all diligence.

The desire you express to be with one man for the rest of your life, to be loved and led and guarded in a faithful union, is itself honourable. Marriage is the result of choice on both sides and is cemented by mutual love that seeks not its own benefit. Seek therefore not a man who goes from one casual union to another as it benefits him, but a man who fears God and will keep covenant. It is better to wait upon the Lord, though the waiting be long and lonely, than to give your heart where God has not joined together. The Lord who sees your longing for protection and provision is Himself your guardian, and He will not withhold what is good from those who walk uprightly.

Concerning the longing for unlimited money and for a lot to be won without labour, we must speak plainly for your soul’s profit. Contentment is one of the flowers of heaven, and if we would have it, it must be cultivated. A man’s contentment is in his mind, not in the extent of his possessions. Alexander with all the world at his feet cried for another world to conquer. To pray for a lottery jackpot that you might do whatever you want and never work is to pray for a temptation rather than a blessing. Trials and distress in themselves are perilous, but riches and ease have their own whirlpools and quicksands. The right thing is not to profane the spiritual but to spiritualize the secular, till the purity of your motives and the sanctity of your conscience in ordinary pursuits shall cause the division to vanish. Labour done unto the Lord, even when hours are reduced and contracts are uncertain, can be holy ground. Pray rather for daily bread, for faithful stewardship, for contentment while tribulation lasts as well as when it closes, and for a calling wherein you may serve God with quietness and honesty.

For your work we will pray. You have known many changes, and now you desire stability and provision. We ask the Lord in His providence to open the right door for you, to give you work that is honourable and sufficient, and to teach you in whatsoever state you are therewith to be content, trusting that He who clothes the lilies will care for you. And for your person, to be prettier inside and outside, remember that true beauty is purity preserved in the midst of temptation, a new heart that loves holiness. Outward form fades, but the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit is precious in the sight of God.

So we pray for you now, not that God would bless what He has forbidden, but that He would bless you in the way of obedience. We ask the Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour alone, to give you strength and courage and faith and wisdom and support, to surround you with good and supportive people, to protect you from all evil and harm, to keep your feet from the path of the tempter, to cultivate in you holy contentment, and to help you to put Christ first above all else, whether in difficulty or in bliss. May He guide all you do and say and act according to His good will, and may you find your rest not in a man or in money or in status, but in Him who alone can save and keep you. Amen.
