Please pray for my mom, I had a really bad dream where it was revealed that the enemy is trying to bring weird symptoms in her life so she can have fear and for death to follow. In Jesus' Name please cancel the works of the enemy in her life and my life. ###

We join with you in prayer for your mother and for you, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father.

We understand how troubling such a dream can be, especially when it concerns someone you love deeply. While dreams can sometimes stir fear, we do not receive a spirit of fear from God, and we do not need to live in dread of what the enemy intends. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. We take comfort that God is sovereign and He is our protector.

Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. And in 1 John 3:8 we are told the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil. We stand on that truth together and we rebuke the spirit of fear and any assignment of infirmity or death that would try to come against your mother.

We also cling to Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and to Psalm 91:10-11 that no plague shall come near your dwelling, for he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We declare Psalm 118:17 over her, that she will not die, but live, and declare the works of Yahweh, if it is His will for her life.

Together we pray

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear mother to You. We ask for Your hand of protection, healing, and peace to rest upon her. We cancel every work of the enemy that would try to bring strange symptoms, fear, or death into her life, and we command it to leave in Jesus name. We ask You to fill her with Your perfect love which casts out all fear, as 1 John 4:18 teaches, and to surround her with Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray You would strengthen her body, guard her mind and heart, and let no fear take root. We also lift up her child who brought this request, that You would remove all anxiety from dreams and replace it with assurance in Your power. Help them both to submit to You and resist the devil, trusting the promise in James 4:7 that he will flee from us. Let Your will be done in their lives and let Your healing and life be manifest for Your glory. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith, to speak life and scripture over your mother daily, and to pray with thanksgiving rather than fear. If she is experiencing any physical symptoms, we encourage you to also seek wise medical counsel while continuing to trust the Lord as the ultimate healer who in Psalm 103:3 forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases. Keep declaring the Word over her, keep praying together, and keep trusting that the Lord is her keeper.

We can hear how unsettling that dream was for you, and how much love you have for your mom. Waking up with images of fear and death attached to someone you love can leave your heart racing, and we are grateful you brought it straight to Jesus instead of carrying it alone.

We want to encourage you to keep bringing both your mom and your own peace to Him in simple, steady prayer. You do not have to figure out what the dream meant or watch for symptoms with anxiety. If your mom does mention any unusual or concerning symptoms, walking with her to see her doctor for a check is a caring, practical way to love her alongside praying for her protection and peace.

It can also help to talk openly with her and perhaps a trusted pastor or friend, sharing your concern without passing the fear along, and continuing to pray together in Jesus name.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this mom to You and we lift her child who loves her so much. Cover them with Your peace, guard their hearts from fear, and frustrate any work of the enemy. Give wisdom, comfort and rest, and help them to rest securely in Your care. Amen.

Your burden for your mother has been laid before the Lord and we join you in prayer against every work of the enemy and every spirit of fear that would seek to trouble her or you.

The fear of death is natural to man as a sinner, yet it is not necessary to the saint, for there is no true deliverance from the fear of death except by looking unto Him whose death is the death of death. Our Lord Jesus Christ takes away from us the fear of death by taking away the sin which is the sting of death, and to depart being forgiven and accepted in the Beloved is not truly to die but to depart to be with the Father. Though some of the Lord's own are still subject to bondage through this fear, His grace is given to deliver them from it, and the very least things that come from Christ have healing virtue in them, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

We do not rest upon dreams, but upon the sure promises of God in Christ, and we pray that He will keep your heart and your mother's heart in perfect peace as you trust in Him.

Let us pray together.

Our Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before You for this dear mother and for her child who loves her. We ask You to cancel and overthrow every work of the enemy that would bring strange symptoms, fear, or thoughts of death. Cover them with the blood of the Lamb, by which Your people overcome, and let Your Holy Spirit, who raises men from death in sin and delivers from the terror of sin, fill their hearts with faith and courage.

Lord Jesus, You have abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. Take away all slavish fear that would dishonor Your truthfulness and power, and give instead that loving, filial fear which watches against sin and rests wholly upon Your finished work. Forgive sin, which is the sting of death, and let both mother and child know they are accepted in You.

We ask for Your healing hand upon this mother according to Your perfect will. Grant her health and strength, guard her mind from fearful imaginations, and grant her sleep that is sweet and undisturbed. Grant to her child also peace, assurance, and a steadfast looking unto Christ. Keep them both under the shadow of Your wings and let no weapon formed against them prosper.

We ask this trusting not in our own worth but in the God who raises the dead, who brings up again those whom He has made sensible of their need. Preserve them from dread surprise and keep them in Your covenant love, from which they shall not depart.

We commit them to Your tender care, praying in the precious and mighty name of Jesus, our Redeemer and our Life. Amen.

Your prayer for your mother has been heard and we join you in bringing her before the Lord with you. It is right that you love her and watch over her, and it is right to bring every fear and every troubling dream to Christ, who alone is our deliverer.

The fear you describe is itself a heavy burden. Scripture teaches that through fear of death people can be held in bondage all their lives, but Christ has come to set us free from that bondage. He has trampled death underfoot and brought to nothing the power of the devil who once held that tyranny. When a soul learns that death for those who belong to Christ is no longer a terror but has become like sleep, and that God Himself is the One who justifies us through His Son, then the accuser has no ground to stand on. If God is for us and Christ both died for us and intercedes for us, who can condemn us. For that reason we are taught not to fear those who can harm the body but cannot touch the soul, but to rest in the fear of God which is holy and gives peace.

Therefore do not let this dream enslave you or your mother to dread. The enemy works by sowing fear, yet he has been disarmed. The Lord calls us instead to put on the whole armor of God so that we may stand in the evil day, not with cowardice but with sober courage, knowing the time is short and our hope is secure in the kingdom that does not end.

We pray for you and for your mother now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You that salvation is through Him alone and that He has conquered sin and death. We ask You to cancel every work of the enemy intended against this mother and against her child. Take away the spirit of fear and replace it with Your peace that passes all understanding. Guard her body and soul, grant her health and strength according to Your mercy, and let no weird symptom or threat of death have power over her. Cover her with Your protection, clothe her and her family in the whole armor of God, and help them to stand firm in faith, with hearts lifted above anxiety to trust in Your goodness. Teach them to laugh at the threats of men when You are favorable to them, and to rest in the knowledge that whether waking or sleeping they belong to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who lives and reigns and intercedes for us. Amen.

Continue to pray, to read the Scriptures, and to cast every care upon Him. If symptoms continue, seek wise and timely medical care as well, trusting that God works through many means for our good. Keep your eyes on Christ, who has loosed the pains of death and promises that those who trust Him will be raised to life.

Your request for your mom has been lifted in prayer, and I understand how distressing a dream like that can be, especially when it leaves you worried about strange symptoms and fear taking hold.

One of the most common tools the enemy uses against the children of God is fear, along with discouragement. He will try many ways to hinder us and to pull our eyes away from the Lord and from the work God has called us to. Fear is especially effective because fear and faith cannot live together in the same heart. When we fix our eyes on the threat, on what might happen, on symptoms or on dark possibilities, fear grows. When we fix our eyes on the Lord, faith grows.

That is why the cure for fear is always to remember the Lord. Remember who He is, His greatness and power, His presence with you, and the finished work of Jesus Christ for you. Scripture says God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. The fear of man and the fear of death can be a snare that traps us, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord will be safe.

For the child of God, even death has lost its terror. Physical death is only the separation of the soul and spirit from the body, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, has been dealt with at the cross. Jesus bore our sin, and the sting of death, which is sin, has been removed. Because of Him we will never be separated from God, not for a moment. That is why we can say with the psalmist, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your life and your mom's life are in His hands, and His rod and staff comfort and protect.

When you recognize that fear and these troubling thoughts are an attack, you can respond biblically. First, recognize it for what it is. Second, refuse it in the name of Jesus. You do not have to receive what the enemy tries to bring. Your faith in the finished work of Christ is your shield against those fiery darts. Third, rejoice that God has given you His Spirit and His Word. The Word of God in your heart is both your defense and the sword by which you stand against the enemy's strongholds.

So we prayed for you and for your mom, and we also encourage you to keep watching in prayer day and night in a practical way. Keep bringing her before the Lord, speak Scripture over her, and fill your minds with truth rather than with the fear the dream tried to plant. If there are real physical symptoms, it is also wise to seek proper care while trusting the Lord for health and peace, for to fear the Lord and depart from evil brings wholeness and confidence, and the Lord will keep the feet of those who trust Him from being taken.

Let me pray for you both now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this dear mother and for her child who loves her. We ask You to cancel every work of the enemy intended to bring fear, sickness, and thoughts of death. We refuse those works in Jesus' name and we ask You to cover this family with Your protection and peace. Fill them with faith instead of fear, with power and love and a sound mind by Your Spirit. Let them keep their eyes on You and remember that You are with them. Take away all fear of sudden terror and give them confidence that You are their keeper. Bring health, comfort, and rest to this mother, guard her body and mind, and let Your presence be very real to both of them. Strengthen their faith through Your Word and give them victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
