We lift up ### before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the deep distress that physical pain can bring. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord sees your suffering and is mighty to heal.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We ask for Your divine touch upon ###, that You would bring relief from this agonizing pain and restore health to their body. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We claim this promise over ### today, trusting in Your mercy and compassion.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals attending to ###. Guide their hands and minds as they provide care, and grant them insight into the best course of treatment. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, including the skill and knowledge of those who work in healing professions.
We rebuke the spirit of pain and infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave ###'s body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, ### is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and wholeness over every affected area, trusting in Your power to restore.
In times of physical suffering, it can be easy to feel distant from God, but we encourage ### to draw near to Him. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Lean into His presence, pour out your heart before Him, and trust that He is working even when the pain feels overwhelming.
If ### has not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we gently remind them that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Salvation is found in no one else, and it is by grace through faith in Him that we are made whole, not just spiritually, but in every area of our lives. If this is a step ### needs to take, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them near and reveal the love of Christ in a personal way.
We also encourage ### to seek godly counsel and support from their church family. Galatians 6:2 instructs us to "bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Do not carry this alone; allow others to pray with you, encourage you, and walk alongside you in this season.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the assurance that You hear our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will for ###'s healing. Strengthen their faith, comfort their heart, and bring them peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that this trial will not overcome them but will instead draw them closer to You.

We are so sorry you are walking through this, and we are lifting you up right now. Agonizing pain like this can feel utterly isolating, as if your world has shrunk to nothing but the ache. We have prayed for you and will continue to do so, asking the Lord to bring you genuine relief and, in His mercy, full healing.
In the meantime, we want to gently encourage you to let a doctor walk beside you in this. An inguinal hernia can sometimes lead to complications that require timely attention, and a physician can help you understand what you are dealing with and what your options are. Seeing a professional is not a lack of faith; it is honoring the body God has given you and using the help He has placed within reach. We are praying for wisdom for you and for the hands of any surgeon or specialist you may see.
We know the nights can be the hardest, when the pain presses in and sleep will not come. We ask the Lord to be your steady comfort in those hours, to calm your mind when the hurt makes you anxious, and to surround you with His peace that goes beyond understanding. May you sense His nearness even now.

Rheumatic pain is as rare a proof of life as a thrill of delight, and so, anxiety about your estate and hatred of sin and grief over your imperfection are just as sure signs of spiritual life as the highest joy or the liveliest energy! Do not worry yourself, therefore, about that. The very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing. There is, then, an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue.
Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people when they looked not for them. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said to him, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His Grace has infused into us will work us health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing! His salvation will also perfectly heal our bodies.
Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus, our heavenly Physician, is not so much to point out disease as to indicate and to apply the remedy. He is able to heal, but He is not always engaged in healing. There are times when the power to save is more than usually manifest, times of refreshing, seasons of revival, days of visitation, acceptable days, days of salvation. My last few hours have come and 'tis enough for me to be thinking of the pain I suffer! I have no time to think upon eternal things and do such weighty business with a God who has now come so near to me, dressed in robes of wrath! Oh, as you will prize your Sabbaths when they are over.

The agony you suffer is not hidden from the God who permits even the thorns of the body to pierce us. Not to destroy but to cure the soul: such pains brace the mind, cast out worldly desires, and make the heart cry out for the Physician of all. I will pray earnestly for your relief, for He who led Israel through the wilderness knows how to give rest to the afflicted. Yet I entreat you, while you seek physical healing, let this trial become an occasion for greater virtue. Bear it with patience and give thanks in the midst of it, for the Lord often uses the body's wounds to draw us from the love of passing comforts to the hope of the kingdom where sorrow and sighing flee away. Continue in your daily duties, showing meekness and trust, and let your endurance be a light to those around you. May He who permitted the thorn to be fixed in you grant you both the healing you ask and the stronger medicine of a soul made whole.
