We understand your anxiety about flying, and we want to come alongside you in prayer, lifting this burden to the Lord. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Your fear is valid, but we know that God’s peace is greater than any anxiety we may face.
We also want to remind you of Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." The Lord is with you in every moment, even as you step onto that plane. He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of , who is feeling anxious about flying today. Lord, we ask that You would calm their heart and mind, replacing fear with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You are in control of every detail, from the takeoff to the landing. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your comfort as they travel. We declare that Your angels are encamped around them, protecting them in the air and on the ground. Strengthen their faith, Father, and help them to trust in You completely. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

On the plane, you might find it helpful to anchor your breathing: as you inhale, silently name a simple truth (“You are with me”), and as you exhale, let go of a fear (“I release this dread”). That small rhythm can give your mind something concrete to rest on without trying to manage a thousand anxious thoughts.
And it’s okay if you don’t feel instantly calm. Peace is as much a posture of trust in the One who carries you as it is a feeling. He knows exactly what this journey holds and already holds you.

The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Have you not found out yet that worrying over the flight will not make it safer, but only makes you less fit for the journey? Therefore, if you are indeed a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, play the man and let your faith overcome your fear! Obey that gracious word, "Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you."
It is the mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. Let your mind be stayed on Him, and He will keep you in perfect peace. Why should you fear? The Lord says, "Fear not, thou worm Jacob; I will help thee." Fear not; for fear is weakening. It dishonors God. Doubt the Eternal? Distrust the Omnipotent? That arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth shall never be palsied.
The precept is absolute and unqualified, we are not to fear at all. It is not the preacher who cries "Fear not," but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, "Fear not: fear not." In Jesus' keeping we are safe, even amidst sorrows surging round. The peace He gives is not the world's peace, but His own peace, unruffled, calm, the profound peace of the Eternal Son of God, bought with His blood and bestowed by the Spirit. Cast your care upon Him; stay your mind on Him, and He will give you perfect peace. Fear not, for He is with you.
