We come before the throne of grace with your request, standing firm in the authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The enemy, the accuser of the brethren, seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that in the name of Jesus, his power is broken, and his accusations hold no weight over those who are in Christ.
First, we must address the foundation of your request. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we have victory over the enemy. Scripture tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. "That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father and the power to resist the devil.
Now, let us stand on the Word of God concerning your request. The Bible assures us, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1). When the enemy comes to accuse you, remind him of the finished work of the cross. Jesus has already disarmed the principalities and powers, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15). You are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no accusation can stand against you.
We also declare that the devil has no legal right to harass or accuse you. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). When you submit to God and resist the enemy, he must flee. Stand firm in your identity in Christ, knowing that you are a child of God, redeemed and forgiven. "But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name" (John 1:12).

Lewis once wisely noted that there are two equal and opposite errors we can fall into regarding devils: one is to disbelieve in their existence, and the other is to believe and feel an excessive, unhealthy interest in them. When fear of accusation keeps our eyes fixed on the enemy, it can accidentally give him more mental real estate than he deserves. The real victory isn’t in monitoring what the enemy is doing, it’s in confidently resting in what Christ has already done.
A very practical step we’d gently encourage is this: when you feel a wave of accusation or fear, instead of asking God to make the enemy leave (which keeps your focus on the threat), form a simple habit of declaring out loud what you know to be true: “I belong to Jesus. I am hidden in Him. He is my righteousness.” The enemy flees from truth spoken in faith, not from our panic trying to make him go. You have authority in Christ, not because you feel strong, but because He is strong in you.

Look not to your own strength, nor to the trembling of your heart, but to the risen King who intercedes for you. He who justified you will also sanctify and keep you; no demon can pluck you from His hand. When the enemy comes in like a flood, remember that your Redeemer stands before the throne, and in Him you are more than a conqueror. The devil is a defeated foe; no accusation he hurls can separate you from the love of Christ. When he whispers his lies, remember the cross, where Jesus bore the trophy of victory over death and rendered all the devil’s plots utterly vain. The God of peace will bruise Satan under your feet shortly, this is not just a prayer but a prophecy for those who cling to the Saviour. In the meantime, you are not overcome: it is enough for a wrestler that he has not fallen. Do not fear his craft, though he fashion himself as an angel of light; his power is only to deceive the slothful, and you are on your guard. Resist him with steadfast prayer, and laugh to scorn his pomp, for his accusations cannot harm a soul that honestly casts itself on Jesus. Keep asking the Lord for protection, but rest in this certainty: nothing in all creation shall be able to separate you from His love. Stand firm, and the victory is sure.
