Please pray for ###

We hear your heart and lift up ### before the throne of grace with earnest intercession. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, faith in the name of Jesus Christ. It is written, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Without acknowledging Jesus as Lord and Savior, our prayers cannot reach the Father, for He Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). If ### has not surrendered their life to Christ, we pray they would confess their sins, repent, and receive salvation through faith in His finished work on the cross. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Now, as we lift ### before the Lord, we ask You, Father, to reveal Your perfect will for their life. If there are areas of sin, whether unconfessed, hidden, or unrecognized, we ask for conviction by the Holy Spirit. "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24 WEB). We rebuke any stronghold of fear, doubt, addiction, or rebellion that may be hindering ###’s walk with You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

If ### is seeking direction, provision, healing, or restoration, we stand on Your promises. For healing: "By His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). For provision: "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). For peace: "The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We pray that ### would walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, bearing fruit in every season (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).

If ### is unmarried and seeking a spouse, we pray they would wait on You, Lord, and not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). May they seek a godly marriage that honors You, where both husband and wife submit to one another in reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21 WEB). We rebuke any temptation toward fornication, lust, or impure relationships, for Your Word commands us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If ### is already married, we pray for unity, love, and faithfulness, that their marriage would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).

If ### is struggling with same-sex attraction or considering a relationship that contradicts Your design for marriage between one man and one woman, we lovingly but firmly declare that such relationships are sinful and outside Your will (Romans 1:26-27, Leviticus 18:22 WEB). We pray for repentance, healing, and deliverance, that ### would find their identity in Christ alone and walk in purity. "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals... will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). Yet we also proclaim Your grace: "Such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB).

Above all, we pray that ### would draw near to You, Lord, and that You would draw near to them (James 4:8 WEB). May they seek You with their whole heart and find You (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB). We declare that ### is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB) and that You have plans for their welfare, not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Sometimes the simplest request carries the most weight. You’ve brought this person before the Lord, even without words to frame the need, and we count it a privilege to stand with you in that. There is something deeply grounding about knowing others are lifting us up, especially when we don’t know what to ask for ourselves. That quiet confidence, that someone is holding us before the throne of grace, can be a steady anchor in whatever season this is.

We don’t know what weighs on your heart for this individual, but God does. He is neither confused nor caught off guard. We join you now in trusting that He hears the groanings too deep for words and meets every need with His own wisdom and compassion.

Jesus, we lift up the one on this writer’s heart. You know every detail, every burden, struggle, hope, and fear. We ask for Your presence to be tangibly near, for Your peace to settle over the situation, and for Your guidance to be clear. Protect, strengthen, and sustain them in whatever they face. Surround them with the right people and the right help at the right time. And give our friend here the quiet reassurance that You are at work, even when the way forward feels unclear. We ask all this in Your name, Jesus, trusting You. Amen.

Intercessory prayer has been practiced by all the best of God’s saints, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought! It is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ is of this character. It benefits those who use it, and it is a wondrous blender of hearts. You need not reach for a Prayer Book, but go straight to God and plead, “O Lord, You know what I need!” True prayer is reminding our heavenly Father of His promises. If the answer tarries, prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time. Do not give up praying because you feel you cannot pray, but pray twice as much. Let us continue with one accord in prayer and supplication for these souls, trusting that He who hears the intercession of Christ will hear our cries.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayer, and rightfully so, for prayer is a great weapon and we need it early, before we go forth into the war and tempest of each day. Yet consider carefully what you ask and how you ask it. The Lord taught us not to think we shall be heard for our much speaking, nor to compose prayers of ten thousand clauses and merely repeat them. Instead, He gave us a rule: when you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone. For if you make intercession to God while darting out the shafts of anger against another, what hope of salvation will you have? If you seek mercy yet will not let go your wrath, you are thrusting the sword into yourself.

Bring this person before the throne of grace, but examine your heart first. Are you lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting? Do you give thanks to God even for things against your will, knowing He dispenses all things for our good? The Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know what to pray for as we ought. So pray with groanings that cannot be uttered, trusting not in your own words but in our High Priest who ever lives to make intercession. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him, not because He interceded once and ceased, but continually, whenever we have need. This is the surpassing mercy of God toward man; after the unspeakable greatness of His gift, if we sin again, He counts us such as may be forgiven. Persist in supplication, watching thereunto with all perseverance, not casting down others but building up, and leave the unknown outcome to Him who has all judgment and works all for our salvation.

I have seen your request and am joining you in lifting these individuals before the throne of grace. When we bring names like this to God, we step into the sacred work of intercession, the kind of prayer that reaches beyond our own four walls and beyond any distance, just as it did for the apostle Paul when he was confined to a prison cell. His body sat in chains, but his prayers traveled through Asia, through Greece, back to Jerusalem, carrying the very power of God into the lives of people he could not physically reach. That is the reality we enter when we pray for these two. No lock, no barrier, no circumstance can limit what God will do through a heart that intercedes.

And in the middle of whatever hardship or burden they are carrying, never forget that the Lord is the God of all comfort. His nature is to draw near in the darkest hours, to speak words of strength when no one else can, and to lift the despairing out of the miry clay. That comfort is not just for them, it is for you as well. The burden you carry in prayer for others is seen by Him, and He stands ready to comfort you even as you comfort them.

So I encourage you: continue steadfast in prayer, watching with thanksgiving. Persistence is not about twisting God’s arm; it is about aligning our hearts with His perfect will. Prayer opens the door for Him to do what He already desires to accomplish. As you bring these names before Him, let your prayer follow that cycle Jesus modeled, beginning with worship for who He is, moving into the intercession you are already doing, and trusting Him for every need. The Spirit Himself helps our weakness when we do not know how to pray as we ought, interceding with groanings too deep for words. You can rest there.

I am joining you now, asking the Father to extend His mercy, to strengthen what is weak, to mend what is broken, and to accomplish His will in their lives and in yours. Take courage; the prayer of a faithful heart is a powerful instrument in the hands of a listening God.
