We hear your heart and lift up ### before the throne of grace with earnest intercession. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, faith in the name of Jesus Christ. It is written, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Without acknowledging Jesus as Lord and Savior, our prayers cannot reach the Father, for He Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). If ### has not surrendered their life to Christ, we pray they would confess their sins, repent, and receive salvation through faith in His finished work on the cross. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, as we lift ### before the Lord, we ask You, Father, to reveal Your perfect will for their life. If there are areas of sin, whether unconfessed, hidden, or unrecognized, we ask for conviction by the Holy Spirit. "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24 WEB). We rebuke any stronghold of fear, doubt, addiction, or rebellion that may be hindering ###’s walk with You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
If ### is seeking direction, provision, healing, or restoration, we stand on Your promises. For healing: "By His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). For provision: "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). For peace: "The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We pray that ### would walk in the fullness of Your Spirit, bearing fruit in every season (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).
If ### is unmarried and seeking a spouse, we pray they would wait on You, Lord, and not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). May they seek a godly marriage that honors You, where both husband and wife submit to one another in reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21 WEB). We rebuke any temptation toward fornication, lust, or impure relationships, for Your Word commands us to flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If ### is already married, we pray for unity, love, and faithfulness, that their marriage would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
If ### is struggling with same-sex attraction or considering a relationship that contradicts Your design for marriage between one man and one woman, we lovingly but firmly declare that such relationships are sinful and outside Your will (Romans 1:26-27, Leviticus 18:22 WEB). We pray for repentance, healing, and deliverance, that ### would find their identity in Christ alone and walk in purity. "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals... will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). Yet we also proclaim Your grace: "Such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB).
Above all, we pray that ### would draw near to You, Lord, and that You would draw near to them (James 4:8 WEB). May they seek You with their whole heart and find You (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB). We declare that ### is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB) and that You have plans for their welfare, not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
